New to me……I have tons to go through and a ton more still in NJ. Unfortunately last week my FIL passed away unexpectedly. He may not have been the most organized guy, but he had a lot of tools. Everything I have sorted through so far is USA made and he probably owned most of it for 60+ years. Lots of old tool truck brands and a ton of old USA Craftsmen. I am sure I will have questions on what some tools are as some I have never seen before. Snap-on box is full and I still need to empty

If anything needs a good home, I am just a few exits down the PA turnpike, just saying ...

I will be up and down the PA pike many times in the next several months. Next trip to pick up more is Friday March 10th. I already brought an old JD Model B tractor home and still need to pick up a 69 Dart.................
Open invitation if you need a pit stop, just PM me, but I am probably too close to the place in Jersey for it to be worthwhile. However, if you have someone with you that needs some shopping therapy at King of Prussia mall, you can hang out here.

Thank you, very nice of you to offer. I will send you a PM and not clutter up the tool thread.

New one piece Daytona jack handle. No more center joint wobble, 2 inches longer, heavier knurling for better grip, longer foam padding, and seems to be heavier gauge steal, but not positive.

Where did you buy the handle by itself? It would be nice if I can just buy the foam wrap cover.

Harbor Freight sells the one piece handle separately now.

For the foam sleeve, bebop over to home depot and look at pipe insulation or get a pool noodle from the dollar store.

Longer and a longer foam pad are both great. I'll grab that one of these days for sure

Here's the last 3 purchases I've made with the 25% off one use coupons they've been sending me.

One of the surface conditioning tools. I've been looking at the Metabo version for a long time, but could never justify the price. It looks like it will do what I need it to do.

One set each SAE and Metric of the Icon long reach double box end wrench sets.

If I get more of those coupons, I'll have to start buying toolboxes so I have a place to store everything.

I'll probably pick one of these up.

That said, will new Daytona jacks come with the new handle or will it only be something offered separately? I'm guessing they won't come with it if just for packaging / shipping reasons.

Yep, good eye, that's the one. It covers most of the sockets and wrenches, I've been trying to find a similar set in a case or box that would have the others stuff I usually carry. The Harbor Freight 105 Pc set is close but I think I'll be better off just having one other box as small as possible and finish off with screwdrivers, electrical tools, hammer, pliers, etc.. Anything else looks like it would be a lot of duplication.
The ratchets in the Amazon set are different then your set.

I just ordered the 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drives sizes of the Proto ratchet from Zoro. How do you like it so far?
I have the Proto Precision Ratchets in 1/4" and 3/8". They are definitely chunkier than Gearwrench, Snap On, Matco, etc. However they are butter smooth and have taken a ton of force with no issues. Ive been thoroughly impressed by them.

It’s a tank of a ratchet. The mechanism is smooth and feels robust. I think a long handled version would be perfect and would stand up to some serious abuse. I’m not a fan of the weight and the backdrag. The Proto is nicely finished but the machining and chrome on the Nepros is on another level.

got a link?
^-- shibertus answered that a few posts later --v
I got them from the MoMA Design Store. These 3 colors are exclusive to them. The standard colors are available on eBay from Japan, or if you like blue the Trusco branded version is on Amazon. The Toyo and Trusco are identical except the Trusco has an additional set of linkages that automatically pops the cantilevered portion out when you open it.

Want to check out willy peter, light one and throw it in water, it will burn, flame in water, cool and dangerous. God bless the people that got hit with that back in Vietnam and who knows where else, an incendiary you can't put out with water.

We have a new Snap-On Industrial account at work,
no truck that comes by the shop, just a rep we need to contact, but the discount is sweeeeet...

So I did a test order.
I got these for half of listed, that's change back on $40

Needless to say, I'm putting a list together now, and our mechanic has bought a bunch of new hand tools for the shop.

Ordered some sheet metal hammers and slappers, a metal gauge, welding aids, and got some sticker swag from Dagger Tools. Their web site ***** but the tools are definitely high quality and USA made. PXL_20230304_195257751.jpg
