Hammer time! I've seen these somewhere before...They feel very nice in the hand.

Some hammers land with a thud -- these land with a PHUD!

Or maybe you could call them "Doctor Thumpin and Professor Bop."

"Merlin, a name that sounds like a brand you can trust!"

(Milton.)

My face HF gag is their naming their LED work lights "Braun", because apparently the German appliance makers just aren't making lights.
For sure pretty cheesy. Using it for an isolation/bypass for my new compressor automatic drain. Should be good enough....hopefully.

Not sure what it is yet but it got dropped off a bit ago by UPS. Maybe a rebuild kit for my ratchet but who knows.

Needed a new hammer for work since the other one wasn't doing the job and it showed up like this. Collins Axe(Truper) 20lb sledge. Weighs 21lb with handle but it actually doesn't feel too heavy. Wouldn't be ideal for many blows in a day though.

My USPS driver would have marked it undeliverable... my UPS driver would have cut the handle off... my only hope would have been my Prime Girl... or my FedEx Guy.

Was surprised by it. More surprised it was accepted than the lack of packing. Don't think any service would consider it proper. Did make the UPS drivers day a little easier since he didn't have to bend down to grab it though.

Last similar thing(long) was a 33 inch pry bar and they packed that thing in a 48x12 inch box with a few dozen air bags to fill it out. It's excessive but the terms of service is the item must fit in the box so they can stack for transit without inhibiting the space allocated for other packages.

A while ago... a bunch of us here got 6 foot prypars for cheap... they were wrapped in plastic wrap... then stuffed in a cardboard box with nothing else... amazed the thing stayed in the box... it was as pointy as my sister-in-laws nose.

I saw these hex keys reviewed over on Hobby Machinist, and decided I had to have a set. They are made in Japan by a company called Eight.

Compare the taper tip to the ball tip on the Wera.

They are available in a variety of colors at TBGArizona.com.

I just got them today, so no feedback on how well they perform or hold up, but the ones I tested all fit well.

Todays Amazon delivery was a CTA 2060. Pretty sure it’s designed as a vacuum switch socket but works great for 02 sensors. The thin slots in the normal deep 02 sockets are often not wide enough to actually fit the wires. The shallow ones or the wrenches aren’t deep enough for some sensors. BMW S63 engines are a great example of why this one is a must have for me.

Pic or link???

Okay, but when is the garden statuary smashing party and are we invited?
Everything is already sold till October but a couple pumpkins (and whatever they're sitting on since the thing has some carry through) aren't out of the equation.

Got it to break up the slag from production that's accumulated over the past 30 years mainly plus maybe do some shoulder exercises with a tractor tire. 14lb was good for warming up so 20lb might be good for a bit of muscle growth.

Pick up some mini Tekton pry bars and pick set and added a few inch to metric conversion charts to stick in my tool boxes.

After doing some recent repairs, I realized I needed a good #0 Phillips screwdriver and not just a bit or a slotted one that works in a pinch. Ordered this Klein, hope it fits the need. Even though I knew it would be small, I didn't realize how small it was 'till it was in my hands. (...................... that's what she said 🤣 ) AA battery for comparison

I remember that deal and got in on it too.

I also remember how ridiculously huge it looked when it arrived.

I’ve used it a surprising number of times since then.

Me too... I actually made spring hook mount to store it on the side of my triple stack toolbox. I use it all the time to "Move" things that didn't want to move.

Are those magnetic?

Mike
Yes sir. They had two different ones you could get. One was a card and the other was magnetic. I got the magnetic ones to attach to my toolbox for a quick reference. I think they were about $4 each.

Picked up a Dewalt 20V heat gun today. Put a battery in it and put it right to use on a couple heat shrink **** connectors for the hardwire kit installing a new dash cam. Made quick work of it. It definitely puts out some heat.

And I stopped by Harbor Freight and picked up a Bauer clamping workstation, their JawHorse knmockoff, since it's on clearance, and I grabbed a trailer winch and a set of wheels, both of which I'll be using on the 20 Ton Shop Press I got earlier this week.

I stopped by Autozone to get some 1/2” helicoils and saw that they had a lot of stuff on close out, so I added some fuel line disconnects and a wire brush to my shopping list.

I also picked up the two larger sizes of PVC/ Oil filter wrenches, a Knipex short needle nose, and a pair of Grip-On bent angle locking pliers.

Courtesy of Home Depot. The pliers is $13. The screwdrivers are $15. The ant bait is $1.2. Except for the ant bait, I am wondering the other stuff is HD’s bait for me.

Went to another HD and grabbed another Klein. That is a huge upgrade relative to the Companion I got 20 years ago from Sears. (I had no idea about tools then.) For $20 that is a terrific deal for a 2000 series 9 inch cutter. The little 7'' ChannelLock is $27.

Thanks for the heads-up. I stopped at an AZ and picked up a scraper. It is marked from $8 to $3.5, quite a bargain. Also interestingly, this scraper has a very blunt tip. I guess that is for protecting the aluminum head or valve cover? All my other scrappers have a semi sharp edge. So this is actually unique. I guess maybe it can also be used as a very wide slot screwdriver.
