Got this one on marketplace. Little rough around the edges, but decent canadian made box to throw in my tool locker at work for small stuff.
Picked up a few things from Gray on a bit of a whim. I wanted some fairly plain jane 1/2" and 3/8" ratchets that were bomb proof, these definitely feel like they'll be that. Probably not worth the price for a 40 tooth ratchet, but they feel pretty damned sturdy and my experience with Gray so far has been fairlt positive. The allen head screwdrivers were on clearance for $1.50 each so why the hell not. The cobra pliers are my first set from Knipex, been wanting to pick some up forever. Bought with good ol' Canadian tire money.

Extendable, indexing, ratcheting, reversible jaw. I just couldn’t help myself. On sale for $17. I’m pretty sure I will never use this.
Clearly gimmick tools did not die with Sears. But hey, if you get some legit use out of it, great!

Bought a pair of knipex 4” cobras, an icon 3/8 split beam(keeping it in my car when offroading because I’m OCD about torque values, but don’t want a snap on getting stolen), and traded a buddy some stuff I got for cheap for the snap on/matco/cornwell stuff in the picture. I’d say it was a decent day. I’m looking forward to trying out the gearless ratchet as it’s the first one I’ve had. Need to work on getting more pliers, sockets, ratchets, and extensions along with some specialty tools.

Looks and feels sturdy enough.
PAR-X 3/8" speeder £2, really good bit of kit.
These three pieces may well belong to Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger tool rolls. Britool are correct size items but don't carry the Z57-- part numbers, nor are they dull black finish but chrome instead.
TW 7/8"-15/16" AF should fit Mk2 Tiger oil cooler. May add these to the funeral fund.

Facom T5.LPB pressure clamps
No ball detent. They are fine. My regular chrome extensions fit fine/normal on them (snap on). My Matco locking extensions lock onto them. 15 dollars is pretty much a give away.
Decent set of tweezers. I don't know much about them, they were about $20 shipped on aliexpress. Looks like its a Swiss company but I think they are made in Japan but I didn't see any markings on them or the packaging. They seem great for the money.
Bushing/Bearing driver set. This one has much smaller sizes that most, I think that will suit my needs well.
I have some upcoming steering and suspension work on my 1 ton truck. Most of my tooling is set up for motorcycle and "normal" automotive so I've been having any work that I couldn't do on my truck done by a small shop that I trusted. He retired and after a search for a new place to go I decided I would just spend what I would have spent on labor and buy some tools that are needed and/or will make the work easier.
I have some stuff on order but picked up this local:
Milwaukee high torque
Gearwrench 3/4" Ratchet
Titan 3/4" 40" breaker bar
Bushing/Bearing driver set. This one has much smaller sizes that most, I think that will suit my needs well.

I love these ratchets. I bought the 3/8" and had to complete the set.Picked up a Proto 5457F 1/2" drive flex head ratchet and to get free shipping added the Proto J9884 screw starter.

Craftsman ball grip drivers (made by Vessel which has has been mentioned here before). Dimensionally and exterior wise they appear to be the same as the Vessel, however the internals are slightly different (these are plastic vs metal for the Vessel and the bit depths are different). Not a big deal - they were ~$3.50/ea and will get used for something.
Purchased from Northern Tool. This was my first visit to one of their stores since we don’t have one locally. Overall impression was ok - kind of like a Harbor Freight but with more name brands. Good to see a small amount of miUSA with Ernst and Mayhew but not much I haven’t seen in other retailers. Also, not sure if it was this particular store but they had a TON of space dedicated to towing, so much so that it left me scratching my head. There must be a strong market for it in Oklahoma.

I was clearing out some dead vines in the back yard and they were too much for my old Fiskar’s pruners, so I decided on a little upgradd.
The Amazon van also dropped off some adjustable pry bars, a Pica pencil, and some automotive pliers.

Par for the course for a round head as far as smoothness goes. They are a block and pawl heart-spring design. So the smoothness is determined by how greased the pawl is sliding around on the anvil block. I only opened up my 1/2" out of curiosity, and it was lightly greased with a moly grease.

For the Astro nano’s I purchased this USAG ratcheting wrench with a locking ring and a reversing switch for constrained areas. It hasn’t arrived yet. I can’t imagine pulling the socket out and reinserting it on the other side of the wrench to change direction. My square drive ratchet is what I will use in all but the most constrained situations. I have a mountain reversing flex head without a retaining ring as an option as well, or just using the mountain directly on the fastener. The mountain is fairly thick though with the offset.

Thank you! Mine didn't feel rough (as in it didn't feel like it was catching or hanging up on something) but it did have a noticeable "ratchet-like" feel and sound when shifting from forward to reverse and vice versa. Based on other items from the same vendor, these are NOS so I'm trying to understand whether the warehousing of the ratchet may have led to old/dry lubrication.

You can warranty the Fiskars cutters. Their online site only requires a picture of the tool. I just received a new blade for my tree loppers.
