Wow - I'd forgotten how much bigger the 47's are than the 46's...

There's a huge difference. It makes me wonder if they'll come out with something in between. These will be a great "do all" plier. Something you can have in your back pocket.

I have the 46's, and got them because I thought the 47's were bigger than I'd want if I was only going to have one of the two. That photo would say I made the right decision (for me).

I think I'll be using the 47's to rip and tear around the house. They're large and grip like crazy.

Horrible picture, but grabbed a FHLLFD80 and a SLF80A along with an AST funnel with Toyota adapter kit for oil changes on our vehicles. It was nice to get on the snap on truck as just a guy off the street and the rep gave a small discount and was willing to fix issues with a couple tools I bought elsewhere. I’ll have to give him business with stuff that’s harder to find elsewhere. I’m not rich enough to buy everything from him.

Got a lot in the mail today. Craftsman V-series kit is a lot bigger than the Wera tool check plus. Should fit fine in a glove-box though.

The Wera would benefit from having an extension somewhere on the Tool Check Plus. I find myself needing one a lot more than I anticipated.

I think the Wera needs a larger screwdriver handle. I like the Craftsman V series compact socket set a lot. The ratchet is thick headed, heavy, and probably has the highest back drag of anything on the market but, it's still a great little set

I agree. not sure why the Craftsman has a hex screwdriver to 1/4” adapter bit either.

Don’t the the Craftsman set is worth the $100 it’s listed for though. I got a great deal from a friend for it.

The screwdriver in the compact craftsman kit is actually a 1/4 square drive spinner handle. You need the bit socket to use with the spinner handle/ratchet for the set's bits.

$104 is a little pricy for the compact raftsman set but, the USAG/FACOM version of the same set runs double the price unless you find a deal. :wtf:

Last year, the compact Craftsman set was on sale a couple of times around Christmas for like $65-$75. A couple of years ago, I was able to find a Blackhawk version of the compact socket set with a better ratchet for like $35 on ebay. Sadly, those sets have dried up

I believe he was referencing the 25mm male square to male hex adaptor.
Which is a good question why they included that.
A 2" adaptor (1/4F mag hex to 1/4M hex QC power shank) would be a nice addition to that kit, allowing use with a drill or impact.

Just curious as to what "25mm male square to male hex adaptor" you are referring to in that 38 pc kit? :headscrat

Looks to me like FedWrench is correct, that first socket on the left is a 1/4"dr to hex bit adapter to allow the use of the bits on the 1/4" dr screwdriver handle or the ratchet.

Other than that I see a ratchet, 10 sockets, 2 extensions, a universal joint, 21 hex bits, and a 1/4" to 3/8" dr adapter.

That sure looks like a 1/4dr (female) to 3/8" dr adapter to my eyes. That bottom label/image looks to show the female end of it.

It may not have a direct use to anything in this kit but will let you expand the ratchet/screwdriver to be able to be used with 3/8" sockets. Seems like a good inclusion.

Your eyes gave you the boot. :bitchslap
Its 1/4 drive.
Its actually a little tough to meet the 25mm C6 standard with a 3/8 drive square.
My homemade one is just a little longer.

Weird. It really does look larger to me than the 1/4" drive ends on the screwdriver and extensions, but I don't have that Craftsman nor the Stanley Facom set it's rebadged from. Your calling it a "25mm male square to male hex adaptor" is definitely what confused me as I have never heard of a bit's length being mentioned when describing one. I'd call it a 1/4" hex to 1/4 dr adapter, but I guess that's just me. All that said, if that's really not a hex to 3/8" dr adapter then I'm scratching my head why Stanley would choose to include one of these in that kit instead. Does seem almost pointless.

Thats the bit I was referring to. It would make sense if the screwdriver was a bit driver and not a 1/4” square.

Either way I’m happy with my purchase and might get another for our other car.

They are duplicating the very well regarded FACOM set. The FACOM set is cheap on Amazon at the moment, but still more expensive. The Craftsman offers a better warranty in this country.

I was sent a 30% off coupon from Harbor Freight and it has just a couple of restrictions, I'm thinking of taking a trip there today and grabbing this looks like an almost exact copy of the Facom kit for $28.00. Damn, I just noticed the coupon is capped at $10.00.

That C'man set includes a 1/4 sq female to 1/4 bit adapter, for use with the spinner handle (or ratchet). The spinner handle in 1/4" square has much more utility than if it was simply a bit driver.
