Same for the front of the feeder, I guess some idiot fine tuned his settings with a ball peen hammer because the upper part of it had hammer dings all over it that I ground out. At least nothing was cracked, they must have fired him before he had the chance to crack all the aluminum covers.

This isn't the same Festo (Festool) power feed you restored is it? Nice job on the restoration!

Anyone else relate to the Progressive ‘Dr. Rick’ commercial where he’s at the dumpster with ‘homeowners becoming their parents’ and making them throw stuff away? I have too much stuff. But, one of the benefits is that you re-discover things!! 🤪😜 These Knipex beauties were in the bottom of a bag of materials I used to make in-line Muskie spinners. I had been wondering where they got to …

Am I the only one who finds the grip on the Icon hammers to be super slippery?

I haven't used the Icon, but have examined it and been disappointed. I've kinda lusted after a SO one for years- but just haven't been able to justify the $$$ as a home user with plenty of Estwings. It's obvious that HF copied the SO- but without actually making a larger, ribbed, ergonomic handle, like the SO has- which is the ENTIRE point of the SO design IMO. Because that would've cost HF a dollar more.... If not you can just buy a Trusty Cook or any of the other similar products with crappy handles (IMO).

Speaking of HF...

I was in there earlier tonight to buy some tarps (with the threat of significant snow just a few hours away), and checked my email for a coupon. Nothing I was interested in, including this "free gift" for spending over $24.99.

I know some people love these things, I've always thought they were a gimmick. But, they were free, LOL...

Thank you! Same model, similar condition, but mine was sold with the machine. It was a common feeder for that era Martin.

Festo still exists but they don’t make this sort of equipment anymore. Festo spun off Festool in 2000. The original compant makes pneumatic equipment mainly.

I don't know about the warrior step bits, but I have all the Icon step bits. I don't know for sure the 3 I have is all they offer, but they work good. I've drilled a lot of big holes through steel and aluminum. The holes come out clean, round and sized correctly.

HF doesn't have any Icon branded step bits. But I have both the Hercules cobalt and Warrior. I've used both extensively when I worked at Caterpillar. I was drilling through steel nearly everyday and they worked. I did break one of the smaller ones.

Not a new tool, but a HF pliers rack to organize the top drawer on my workbench. The S-Ks are the Lowe’s version that I picked up on sale. They are MIC, but decent quality for a DIYer. The metric version is below the SAE set.

Looks very organized. Question, how deep of a drawer is needed to clear the pliers rack? Thanks for sharing.

China SK, had gift cards for Amazon. Fine for work.IMG_3222.jpeg
The US made 1/4 drive sets used to go to 15 mm. There's not a whole lot of knurling on the 6 inch extension. Like the green accents on the metric sockets. The sockets seem to have nice large size markings. How thick is the ratchet head? The carbon fiberish storage tray looks nice but, those trays eat up a lot of real estate. Please share how they workout for you. Thanks for sharing

Definitely takes up a bunch of real estate. Ratchet is nice looking but the action is stiff and it binds. Here it is compared to a regular SK round head. New ratchet is on the left in the bottom pic.IMG_3356.jpegIMG_3357.jpegIMG_3358.jpeg
