They normally retail at £290 ($363) all UK prices normally include Tax unless stated otherwise.

We have tool trucks, generally not as big big or as well stocked as the American ones. Warranty is the same, break it and they replace it.

It's a lovely ratchet. Solidly built and very smooth
I doubt you would even have to worry about breaking that one, I’ve had my 24” 1/2” drive snap on for 16 years and haven’t even had to replace the gear set in it and it’s been boarder line abused most of those years.

Picked up this Milton Digital Inflation brand new sealed in package for 1/2 of retail price from marketplace.
I've been wanting a high quality digital inflator for years.

I'd like to replace the chuck with a lock on style, thinking about the Locknflate but the price is steep($70CAD) which is more than I paid for the inflator. Is their a lower price option that actually works well?

Are those hex drivers?

If so, why would you need to hit them with a hammer?

Mike

No.

I bought them as they are full tang and the grip looked comfortable, a respected brand too. I won’t hit them with a hammer, but they feel like they could be used as a chisel if one wanted. 😂

What are they? You didn't show the working end, model number, link, etc...

Just received 123 blocks with a connector kit to bolt them together in various configurations.

Thinking of making up an assortment of 7/8" long slip-fit drill bushings with a shoulder for the ~11/32" holes (likely 9mm from the factory). The range would be 1/4" and smaller drills for a precision drill block. Can also use the inside corner of two bolted blocks as a quick drill guide.

Another part of my big hex key order arrived. The Eklinds are for the house. Felt the need to support a really local company. Still waiting on the extra long Bondhus. Really needed them the other day at work but they are still on backorder and it looks like they might cancel that part of my order. 😕
They make "Stubby" too... I got rid of all the other sets and just have the Stubbies and T Handle now.

Another online auction haul.

Used Snap-on CTR767 cordless long-neck ratchet
New Unused Snap-on CT861 Brushell 3/8 impact Wrench
Another mag boot
two rubber boots
two chargers
and old Snap-on cutters and pliers. You can barely tell that they are snap-on. Dirty but still usable after some ballistol.

For your next quest, keep an eye peeled for that same kind of of thing, but it's a flex head, or you can lock the flex in one of several positions using a switch.

(I'm not seeing that in hard handle.)

I believe the hammer-hitting ends are about shocking rust on the screw's head/threat contact surfaces.

I've got some old Wihas with mere plastic flats for a wrench to go on but haven't used them in 25 years. (But I don't live in rust country.)

I suppose if your last name was Shemp you could hold the screwdriver and push down hard, your helper could hit the base with a mallet, and another could turn it with a pipe wrench. Provided you have enough room and nobody's a wise guy.

Trying to clean up some hoopty wiring in the truck, so I picked up some heat shrink terminals and
a new crimper to try out. I may have out-cheaped myself with a $12 unit, but it seems ok so far.

I have just like that. I love it. Works well, and reliably.

Here's a locking chuck I got a few years ago, it works. I don't use it very often, only when inflating from 0 psi.

About two years ago I bought one of those digital gauge heads for $13ish from amazon, to replace a gauge head on I tire pressure gauge I had dropped a few too many times (that would be 1 or 2, dangit.) It drove me nutz with battery life problems, first with rechargeable AAA's (a constant supply in my shop) then, when I was at the end of my rope, AAA lithiums. Then I just said "screw it!" and threw a bunch of money at Longacre for dumbo analog gauges again and have been happy ever since.

(I normally like the $30 gauge from Speedway Motors, but shipping charges can be a make-or-break thing sometimes.)

I bought the Hazet version of what you have there, which comes with an analog gauge, a few years back, and the gauge was so small, and the psi banished to the inner ring, that doing tire pressure checks did not feel all that accurate to my now-older eyes. The handle body was plastic, too, which I didn't expect, but didn't affect performance at all.

(And I bought the Hazet to "save money" not buying the Griot's Garage version of this, and I strongly suspect their dial gauge is no bigger, so I just left it at that.)

All that being said, I generally like Milton! Congrats on your new Milton gauge!

HF has a 25% off coupon for the Icon 3/8 semi-deep sockets. I ended up grabbing a metric set today. I really could have used this past weekend for the strut tower nuts on my wife's car.

I don't need them, but for $30 and $10 off, it was a good deal I couldn't pass up.

I give you the new V Series Facom Extendable 1/2 ratchet.Anyone have a better name for my Frankenstein Ratchet?Shes a looker for sure. I took a Facom SLX.180 breaker bar and put a craftsman V series Flex head on it.No modification what so ever. Bolt size and ring was exactly the same. It’s the same size head that’s on the Facom 1/2 flex.I just wish the back drag was better.IMG_5843.jpeg

Bought a set a month or so ago and they are great for what they are, I think they are a wee bit on the soft side but haven't had any issues.

Joined Mike and you, picked up a set myself.
Already have Icons impact set in 3/8" drive, shallow and deep.

These will come in handy, I am sure.

Also grabbed a Quinn 1/2" 15 piece of short sockets (Astro nano look alikes), easier to warranty should I ever need to. I have HF stores all around me.

I found a very smooth action 1/4" drive Pittsburgh Pro composite ratchet, for $9 it was worth picking up.

After HF I ended up at a local Napa store, wanted to put my hands on a 3/8" flexhead Carlyle.

Chose model CHT R38F with chrome handle, I avoid comfort grip as these are easier to keep clean/also personal preference. For a 60tooth ratchet this one is very good, smooth and appears to be of good quality.

I would ask for another one, their pliers are not exactly cheap. Have them make sure it aligns as it should prior to shipping it out.

I am considering it, what pissed me off about it was that it took two weeks to get them warrantied and returned to me. and if they made me send these back and wait again I would be even madder that it would take another two weeks.

Such is the nature of warranty exchanges sadly, so play along.

Take some detailed photos and be specific as to what your expectations are. Above all be polite until time for diplomacy has passed. Front end aka customer service is just a recoil, hard to get to the ones responsible:)

Perhaps they got a bad batch of tools and are playing dumb, seen that mentioned about Knipex twin grips not long ago, why I will try to source them locally. There was a similar jaw missalignment problem, much like what you are dealing with your situation.

Yeah I was nice about it when I emailed them on the first ones. They never ask for the proof of purchase that guys rant about when I call for warranty probably cause I am nice about it. Either way maybe I am being to nit picky but on their web site it states precision ground tip, I would have expected better. Hard to catch a local guy around me since I am not sure close to any shops or car lots. Wish I could have but I would have also felt bad asking them to let me inspect as many of them as it takes just to find a good pair of them and just to spend $65.....
