Been on the Solta island just this last weekend. Surprised how expensive everything is. Of course it is also a tourist area but it must be hard for the locals because even normal grocery shops have very high prices. Greece and Spain are way more affordable, even the canaries. Croatia costs more like Italy or France but I don't think the Croatian locals have those kinds of salaries...

Prices went up when we switched to €uro,average sallary is around 1100 euro when gov take all the taxes... imagine if you have to pay for apartment rent like $600 a month,pay the bills around $300 and rest is to survive the month. At least in my city (split) majority of people are living that way,thank god i have my own apartment.

In Spain it is exactly the same.
I only have a 8-10 and 11-13. I only bought them to be used for screwdriver hex bolsters. It's hard to measure my Stahlwilles. From corner to corner the 11 mm is +0.3 mm, the 13 mm is +0.4 mm. A more practical measurement: using the 13 mm on a PB Swiss screwdriver's hex bolster the SW flare nut wrench moves about 10 degrees. A USAG 285X box end in comparison moves only about 5 degrees or so. Not terrible, but for this kind of application I'd prefer something tighter than a 10 degree slop.They do have some slop,but they are made that way on purpose,due to their LIFE profile. They do have less slop than stahlwilles that i have.

Gotcha. I have (and have suffered with) cheap flare tools. I actually stopped using it and would buy pre-made lines (just get one equal to or slightly longer than the original, with the fittings needed already installed and most importantly, the ends already prepped).
However, around 8 years ago, I changed the lines on my RV to Cu-Ni, and once again fought with that blasted tool. Can't tell you how many times I had to cut an end off and do it again, they kept coming out asymmetric. I swore to never touch that tool again.

System didn't leak, after I finally got the flares done; however, I couldn't get all the air out (again, with a cheap tool), and had to bring it to a shop to finish the job, costing more overall than if I'd have just brought it to the shop in the first place! After 30+ years of doing my own brakes since high school, that was the only time that happened.
So, I've since bought a Mityvac kit:
... but if I ever do another brake job, I'll also be buying some sort of pressure bleeder.

Going good. Interest sure makes it worse though. If I learned one thing it’s I will never max out two credit cards again especially at the same time.
All good. Obviously, you've left an impression, when you're literally the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic.
I too learned a hard lesson about getting behind with a credit card as a youth. Student loans are a different nightmare, but very similar. Making minimum payments is a huge mistake (at least in my experience).

I love VHS lol. Thrift stores mainly. Pawn shops don’t really have many here but lots of DVDs. Also antique stores. My local Salvation Army store has VHS tapes for 25 cents each. And they always have more and more when I go in there. For 25 cents each I clean them out lol. If you are a collector Walmart has a very limited edition VHS twin pack of Terrifier 2 I bought mine yesterday and leaving it sealed. Let me know if you are looking for something in particular and next time I’m there I’ll check for it.
Thanks for the offer, but I'm not a collector (other than new tools, thanks to GJ !). Very surprised to see new VHS tapes are still available. But I have seen vinyl LPs at the local Walmart. Are you also collecting audio cassettes?

I read that the production company who decided to do the VHS release had to go to several yard sales, storage auctions, movie production studios warehouses etc to find blank VHS tapes to put the movie on since no new ones are made that’s why I went ahead and picked it up because I knew the numbers would be limited. They should have contacted me I have a few boxes of blank VHS tapes that my dad bought back in the day to record things on his VHS camera. Lol. If you decide you want to let go of any VHS tapes or a VCR let me know. As for cassettes I have a few but don’t really collect them as I’m not as much into music as I am movies. I’d say between me and dad probably 150 cassettes.
I think I have the original Star Wars trilogy on VHS, was issued as a special edition at some point (90s?). I think it's before they added the goofy CGI extra stuff.
I'm not sure that I ever opened it, honestly.

Yeah I think they are also exempt from certain EU taxes. 1€/l for fuel and amazing food... I enjoy the croatian seaside and warm and clean sea. The ocean isn't as nice to swim in, but the canary islands certainly are a paradise and are beautiful to explore. I was there in May, we rented a RE Himalayan and went all around Tenerife. Camping grounds are goverment owned and free with proper grill areas and bathrooms, it felt like we spent less than just being home while having the time of our lives! High quality meat and salmon cost half of what it costs back home in central Europe. Return plane tickets for two were about 500€ (bought two weeks ahead, would probably be even cheaper if we planned more) - but driving down to Split and back, including the ferries and tolls, easily ends up near 400€ as well (plus two days spent driving). Last time I was camping in Croatia was on Hvar and it added up to about 50€ per day for two (about 10€ per person, 10€ for car and 20€ for a plot with electricity). Think an apartment ends up being cheaper nowadays, and that is for certain on the canaries.

I'm a big fan of the old Craftsman Professional USA wrenches! Quite the value back in the day. I'm sure there are better wrenches, but I can't bring myself to spend money to get that last bit.

Had a recent tussle with a fuel hose coming out of the bottom of a gas tank. Normal crow's foot did fit in there, but then it tore up the "firewall" type grommet in the process. "Why, I need a deep crow's foot!", I said, and luckily I knew that the name for that in real life is "diesel injector/fuel line socket" etc etc. Took me a bit of searching to find one as big as I needed, and then a bit more searching to find a way to buy just the one size I wanted, not two, not four.
CTA. Made in Taiwan. "Bi-hex", or as we call it, "12 point." No pics on the internet confirmed that this largest size of theirs had the offset like the smaller ones, and I'm very happy to learn today that yes, plenty of offset to avoid that hose.
Warning, cancer, do not gnaw on socket while watching TV at night.

I bought them a little while ago but this was my first use of the Lisle 38350 exhaust hanger plies. I never imagined they would work so well, it felt like cheating! I recommend these 1000%

Excellent... this is one of those tools I bought based on the GJ consensus, and I haven't had to use mine yet. Also, I'm a Lisle fan, never hard to convince me to try a Lisle product.

Fast forward to last week, while I was visiting family in their new shop saw him using a Matco filter socket that looked similarly heavy duty. Googling it up pointed me to this PBT Toyota/Lexus Heavy Duty Oil Filter Tool (PBT-71117) for $30 on Amazon, which is a safe bet to be the OEM for both that Matco TOY117 and the MAC PBT71117, so before I left there that day I had it ordered.
I had both of the BluePoint "sockets" at one time. They were much less expensive around 2017.
There is a 3-piece set from AST that Snap On sells for an actual reasonable price (I've also had this kit) ...
Here are 2 of them, not sure why I can't find the 3rd or the 3-piece kit.

I picked that set up a few years back. Zero complaints. I'm fine so far with this PBT (Matco & MAC oem) I just got. It sure seems pretty heavy duty. I don't foresee me ever needing another.
I had been shopping for something better after I broke a MotivX. It was good for a few years until it met a really stuck one and the aluminum socket proved it wasn't the right tool for that job.
