Bought the tool last month. Vehicle brought in today. The only issue was the plastic "alignment" dowel in the rear (right) valve cover(2016 town and country). The bad rockers were in the right head intake side. Replaced all the lifters. Also found the main vacuum line assembly to the booster bad. All the lines were cracked. The van has 76k and the oil was changed every 3k. Original one owner. Engine was spotless internally.

Pentastar... Eeeeeew. I hate that engine with a passion. Had one that had a faulty oil cooler, 2015. Employer tried to rake me over the coals for it. Dropped about 20 pages worth of customer complaints on the manager's desk. They sent it to the dealer, and dealer warranty repaired the engine. Hated them ever since. Our fleet vehicles with that engine still leak like crazy, and chew up camshafts.

Got the $29 Hyper Tough 3/8" impact at Walmart. I don't need it at all, but curiosity got the best of me. Honestly it feels decently built. Pictures with the others I have to compare size.

^ That was the only reason I bought that set - I already own a Vessel 33-piece "bit set", but it doesn't include those screwy two-pronged "security" bits, so I figured WTH for $6 bucks, why not? Save me some grief if and when I ever run into such an animal.
I bought a set like that quite a time ago and broke one of the prongs off one of the two-pronged security bits the first time that I tried to use it. I've not had any confidence in any of the other bits since especially the security Torx bits. I upgraded to long Vessel security Torx bits.

Satiate my curiosity, as I know nothing about that engine:
Is the engine mounted inline, or in a "transverse" position in the engine compartment?
Where, in relationship to the "intake side" of the "right bank", is the exhaust manifold?

Transverse (it's a mini van), "cold vee". I believe transmission is on the driver side, so that would put the right bank as the one closest to the firewall.

How big of a fastener? Would it make sense to upsize to 3/4 (or 1-inch) drive breaker bar, and add a 4-6+ foot cheater pipe on it?

Whatever it is, it's stuck pretty impressively if you broke the tool before the fastener.

Mike
When I get to that point, I break out the impacts. When those don't work, it's saw and grinder time.

I wanted a comprehensive set of fan clutch wrenches for euro vehicles. Grabbed this kit for $75 on eBay. I am sure they do the job but they are not great quality and bite into your hand the square handles. Going to return them and spend the extra $100 for the full CTA tool set.

You can see the comparison between one of the wrenches and the CTA that I already own.

Transverse (FWD Minivan Town and Country). Bank/cylinder head near the firewall.

The gantry was 2 weeks ago, the chain falls are my "new" arrival as of Monday night.

Gantry is a Vestil 2k. I'm considering doubling up ibeams to hit 4k (with a huge safety factor) - I stopped by HF and noticed their 2k's beam was half the beam this is (US made 4"x6", 3/16" web 1/4" flanges). From the Vestil site the legs look identical, the casters are identical, and the beam is 2" taller on the 4k adjustable - so I'm not far off! Pretty sure I have a 4x6 beam too, just need to decide if it's worth drilling a ton of 1/2 holes or if clamps will do.

Chain falls and trolleys are newer Budgit 1ks. Had to drive really far for both (they were actually pretty close to each other - the gantry and the chain falls, but both 1:30+ away). I also have a 2T CM electric to hang in the middle, but of course the Vevor "6600#" (which is interesting since it has 4 different bearings each of which is only good for ~1200#) trolley came without any hardware (oops!).

Got on the threadchecker bandwagon. Tried to do the raised plastic numbers with a paint pen, turned out like ****, don't care enough to redo it. An 18V stapler to a join my Makita club. A 25" HF Icon 1/2" breaker bar to complete an epic stuck bolt 5 hr battle. My old no-name, undersized and overwhelmed bar paid the ultimate price (glad to see it go).

It's not technically correct, but in my little world, 15" is a mere flex handle, 24+" is a breaker bar.

Is the 4.0 liter also found in T&C's related to this engine? (I have a little old lady friend with one.)

No. The 3.6/3.2 current production Pentastar is much removed from the SOHC 4.0. The 4.0 per Wikipedia is related back all the way to the 90s. Which I assumed because it's a very 90s design. The 4.0 wasn't available very long. The vans basically went from 3.3/3.8 right into the 3.6L Pentastar family. The 4.0l was very brief.

I got a shipm in from HJE. A set of 3/8” Koken wobble/fix extensions, a 1” drive Wright ratchet, and some PEC rulers.

And if you wonder why I need a 1” ratchet, it’s because I have some 1” sockets. None of which I will have a use for in the foreseeable future.

I went to ask my Snap-On driver about the SPP744 that I saw posted on here and he gave me one for free so I ended up buying a pocket prybar/screwdriver too.

Got my first coindriver (TOP brand, TRD-45) (Japan, $16.99 ) and the cheap cutters (IGAN-P6) (China, $6.95.)
The cutters for in the house/kitchen, where I'm willing to have a very small number of sometimes cheap tools, compared to the shop. More on that later!
