Those are weird, but don't hold a candle to the nut job near a local high school out here. He has 2 or 3 life-sized mannequins, usually on his above-ground, unfenced pool deck. He changes their outfits regularly, and has had every type of outfit you can imagine, from uniforms to bathing suits, to **** gear.

Kids going to that school see this (and his ever-increasing horde of hateful political signage) every day, twice a day...

Mike
In my area, such a pool would be an enormous legal liability. And the attractive nuisance, and near a school?! Wow!
Surprise surprise.

Somehow I made it this far without any E-torx sockets. Well that day came today. Some 306 pliers and a hard handle flex head Dual 80 ratchet from the Snap On man to replace the one in my Tekton socket set I don't like. And some Tekton large wrench/socket filler sizes.

Sound like a plot theme in that show "Two and a Half men".

The crazy lady pretended to get married to "Manny Quinn" to make the main character jealous. I saw it in reruns the other day.

Bomgaars clearance again today.

10lb of Lincoln 1/8” E6013 electrodes for $17.50. I don’t care for 6013 rods but for the price they’ll work for odd jobs in the shed. I just won’t take them anywhere near a fence brace or a truck bed!

They’ve had a bin of these cast aluminum box cutters for a couple months. The bin has slowly been dwindling at $3 each. Today they had them marked down to $1 each so I got the last 5. I always try to keep one on every truck, tractor, and skid steer for cutting hay wrap and they always seem to be disappearing.

Placed a pretty large order with the depot for a bunch of Milwaukee stuff. Over the last couple days I get notifications it was all in. So I go to pick it up and it’s all in multiple large cardboard boxes. I damn near just wheeled the flat cart out when i realized two of the three tower lights weren’t on it even though everything was checked off according to their list.

So while the girl was out back I dug in. Whatta ya know. Half my order wasn’t there. There went the next two hours proving and documenting what wasn’t fulfilled 🙄

Maybe someone just misinterpreted the BOGO offer you were taking advantage of.
They thought it meant you buy one they get one.

I bought a pair of Sunex 1/4" drive magnetic sockets from Amazon, around $6.50 each.

On the left is the 1/4" socket, made in China.
On the right is the 9/32" socket, made in Taiwan.
The 1/4" socket has a magnet so deeply recessed (4.95mm deep) that it has only a weak hold on a short #10 hex-washer-head sheet metal screw. I am not a fan of the made in China socket. The 9/32" socket has the magnet recessed at a more shallow 3.30mm, same as my Sunex metric sockets in the smaller sizes such as 6mm.

Business first - those where 12amp’rs right?? I forget, 2 days is a long time for me let alone years. I’ll get those dropped in a envelope and shipped right out 👍😁

And not yet. It was screwed up enough I had them keep the one light tower. Reason was it was supposed to come with two batteries and they couldn’t figure out how to change the “released “ column to reflect a partial order. No biggie, I don’t need this stuff in the field for another month.

I officially have an addiction to tiny tools. Found a virgin of this screwdriver on Amazoon but it was supplied with only torx bits. I didn't want torx... so searched deeper into the bowels of Amazoon and found this adonized virgin that has 3 security bits and 4 normal bits. Snatched it up and it arrived today. It's all metal... the only issue I have... the cap over the spare bits is only magnetically held in place... would be better'er if it was screwed.

That’s kinda cuul, I think I want one. You think the reason the cap is held like that is so you can put pressure on the fastener but still spin the body?

I've been thinking of upgrading my wrench sets for a while. While complete, you can see it's comprised of several different brands I've pieced together over the years.

IMG_2189.jpeg

The 30 piece Milwaukee was on sale for $169 at Home Depot. I thought I'd end up with a US or German set when the time came, but it was hard to pass up for the price. Got this cheap thread checker off amazon, too.

IMG_2230.jpeg

They sure are nice looking at least.

IMG_2231.jpeg

We'll see if this jaw design is nice in practice, or if it's more of a marketing gimmick than anything else.

The V-notch in the back doesn't add any performance (nothing opposing it), but the teeth/etc. did really well in the TTC testing. (Carlyle and Icon use the same ODM)

Nice thanks for the info! I just watched some of the ranking videos (which I probably should have watched before buying) but it seems like the Milwaukee faired really well.

New to me heated paint booth. Government auction 2400.00 ( smoking deal)heated semi down draft. Very low use. Only forest service green ever sprayed in it. Booth new is 46,000.00 plus fire suppression which is another 5000.00. Also inculuded a two person fresh air system and more. Took the " crew" up to the Columbus river ( about 6 hours away) and took apart and took home. The "crew" ( sons and brother) and I will assemble this next week in my new shop under construction. It will be a community paint booth as we have lots of projects including hotrods, equipment, etc etc. https://merchant1manufacturing.com/project/semi-down-draft-paint-booth-heated/ reason for sale talking to the employee's... to much risk for the government to do their own painting and paint quality is so poor compared to older paint ( paint doesn't last) they have switched to building everything out of stainless and aluminum. ( fish and game stuff)
