I think i have spent like $80 total on clamps, spring and worm type. I went size up,it was on the motorcycle radiator hose,it was not my bike so buddy was like " its fine". Personally I hate when there is like one inch of stripe sticking out after you tighten the clamp. I would go with the spring constant tension clamp and coat of sealer on the radiator hoses, but buddy just dont trust em and it was his bike.Wow. Those are better looking clamps than the standard fare. They must be pricey for a stock of em though.
With all the sizes you have, I am surprised you are that worried about going up a size. I doubt your application will notice![]()
For those of you who live near Menards in the midwest: I have bought bags of stainless clamps in a few sizes that were USA production and priced reasonably. They were in the plumbing section. So that was a good compromise. Or at least they were USA production as of about a year ago. They are both much cheaper and much better than standard junky auto parts store stocks. Hopefully these are still available. Seems like most everything gets outsourced with **** year by year though.
That does not sound bad for those worm type clamps of that quality.I think i have spent like $80 total on clamps, spring and worm type. Did you explain the spring-type clamps are constant-pressure? As a radiator heats and cools, the spring-type self-adjust to stay tight.I think i have spent like $80 total on clamps, spring and worm type. Not all of them. Some spring type clamps are not rated as "constant pressure" they are usually made of thin pot metal,i mean they do work as a "constant pressure clamp" but they don't create enough pressure to be used on pressurized hoses like one found on the radiator. If i remember correctly even Norma have the two types of spring clamps... a regular spring type clamp and constant pressure, they look pretty much the same. Regular spring type clamps i run on carb fuel lines and vacuum lines.Did you explain the spring-type clamps are constant-pressure? So you told them to Get off my lawn?Had enough of my communities alleged landscapers. Permission to cut my lawn was revoked today. Now it will be done right.
Ruts, holes, etc.Not anymore.
Yes I did!So you told them to Get off my lawn?
The battery powered Stihl I talked the boss into buying for the pub was worth its weight in gold. I'm almost enjoying mowing the lawn now.

Yes, I would guess the vast majority of it.
They water 3 times a week. Weeds are sprayed for every couple months, however they still freaking grow. Bugs don't appear to be an issue. It seems the speed racer mower brigade runs full tilt from the backyard to the front yard and turns hard right. Smaller and smaller full speed circles. Same path every single time. Complained to the company a few times. They have come and raked and apologized. At this point I'm simply fed up and pissed off. I'll fix it and maintain it myself.

UPDATE :1 year laterI'd picked up this 4 inch chainsaw a while ago.
I've used it 3 times , it sliced through a 4 inch diameter branch off a Japanese maple tree in seconds.
Cut a 1 inch piece off the end of this piece of pine in seconds too.
Reviews on amazon were mixed ranging from very good to awful and a few saying it just stopped working after a few cuts. I oil before each use and I'm on a " few cuts " , so let's see what happens.
I have low expectations but f##k me , this is a fun tool to use and so far exceeded my expectations by a country mile , not that it had to do much to exceed them.
Came with 2 batteries , a spare chain and guide. Hadn't been used before , $10 or $12 , can't remember and obviously made in China.
Excuse my hand , I was busy painting hence the paint on my hand.
They use zero turn, stand on units.Dunno what your guys used, but zero turn mowers driven aggressively will destroy your lawn. When I go out of town, I have to have my lawn mowed, and it's always a mess with tracks and bald spots from the "pros". My lawn is a mess so it's not a big deal, but c'mon, you don't need to do donuts on one effing wheel to turn around. I'm paying you to mow the lawn and not dig it up!
Cool car and a beautiful space, please start a thread.
I agree! I'm considering cutting the end off and griding a new dip further toward the chuck.Too bad that shaft isn't a little shorter.
It’s amazing how slight differences in the profile of that type of extruded Cellulose handle, and the contours of the end shaping can make the ergonomics pleasant or not. Those handles give my palms PTSD. Normally I love “tool” bottle openers but this one is causing trauma.

I have a feeling that will be changing soon. For those of you who live near Menards in the midwest: I have bought bags of stainless clamps in a few sizes that were USA production and priced reasonably. Now that you have an endoscope, you'll never need another ultrasound! The mailman was good to me today. i’d been wanting a way to see into walls and obscured places for quite some time and finally broke down and ordered this last week. I had an ultrasound this morning and decided to take off the entire day off, so I got to experiment with it quite a bit around the house and I really like it so far. I believe that it will be just right for the uses I have in mind for it.

Don’t let my wife know that! Otherwise, I’ll never get to go back to the imaging center and all those pretty twenty-something technicians who administer the tests! Now that you have an endoscope, you'll never need another ultrasound!

Not so sure. I WISH that were true. But you cannot make a plethora of factories overnight and wages are likely too high in the USA unless we go to full automation (which requires a better educated/skilled workforce that mostly comes from abroad in recent years). Plus our population is overwhelmingly willing to buy junk for a bit less whenever they have the option. I strongly endorse more attention being paid to domestic production and manufacturing. But this is something that needs to be thought through carefully with a coherent long-range plan that does not shift hourly. A good example of this point is critical rare earth elements needed for a lot of high tech production. Rare earths are not really that rare (USA and many places have a lot). But refining and processing them is typically expensive, hard, and dirty. Almost all presently come from China. Most replacement sources will likely take a min of 5 to 10 years to develop alternative production outside of China. Somehow lost in the noise of the trade war to date, I believe China banned ALL exports of their rare earth production. I am not confident there are any near term solutions to such problems like this and a plethora of others needed to support high-tech applications and industry. This is not the same thing as finding low value production of trinket type items in dollar stores. It is necessary materials for key strategic uses and is not readily fungible.I have a feeling that will be changing soon.
Wilde makes better pliers than Channellock, IMHO. They have actually held up better to grabbing tool steel pins and dowels than my Snap-on pliers. Really good stuff!^ They were indeed made by Wilde - that "Flush Fastener" is their design.
Only way to go if you're wanting a pair of slip-joints.![]()
