Next mystery: who's using a rangefinder on Long Island?!
Bought another magnetic screwdriver rack:
I was just finishing up my second go-round the other night on a loved one's BMW (this time, coils, not plugs) when I thought, "Ya know, these Bondhus Torx T-handles are pretty neat but they have clearance problems in a few spots on this job. Maybe I should get some Torx drivers, see if Wiha has a set of those."
Five seconds later:
Brain: "You bought thatFACOM Craftsman set earlier in the year, dummy."
"Oh yeah! And the smattering of individual Wihas before that..."
Getting old, I was fatigued, it was a more recent purchase, and I keep them in an overflow chest. Well, time to keep them on the side of the chest, near the nutdrivers.
Once I went and got the FACOMs Craftsman they were, well, faster. For the last 5% of that long job being done for the second time. Kept them out to replace the stupid PCV hose I broke, a few days later. (The full tale of stoopit PCV hose will be at my Underground Lair thread at some point in the coming days.)

Willipa Bay is excellent sailing--if your idea of sailing includes lots of pushing a boat off of hidden mud banks.

1 inch regular and long chisels. Regular is just to complete my set of chisels and then the long one is fantastic for removing and installing CV axles when you have to hit them in or out. Then a warranty replacement SK socket for the one I cracked. They sent a 1/4 drive and mine was 3/8 but that’s ok I’m happy they replaced it and it took a couple weeks and I had already gotten a replacement at a store so it’s fine. I thought they had moved production to China but it says USA on it so that’s good. I posted a picture of the cracked one too. They didn’t want it back so it went in my box of broken tools.

SK in a diamond logo is what 45 years old? same time as the franken ratchets with the push button direction switch. I don't know if there's a rhyme or reason as to what remains US Made for SK. Taiwan, the shafts aren't removable. Yep I remember your post. Not sure if some company has what you are looking for. I've only seen these two styles, Deen and these.
Why is there a Snap-on and Milwaukee logo just floating there? I don't see any tools...

Most of the ones I've seen don't have anything in them. Or if they do, it's once-in-a-blue-moon use tools. Some of us are tall enough to see into them. I've seen guys with small single step stools nearby.
A couple pics elsewhere with my order from HJE. .. But got these in the mail today...lost shipment by USPS... Amazon already wrote off the order and said to keep them during an online chat.

Been dancing with buying one of these Swag stands for a while. This setup popped up on CL for $120 with footswitch and Braun saw attached. For that price, had to go get it. The fact that it's all assembled and ready to go definitely appealed to my lazy side. Although I do plan to add some rubber feet. Also came with a couple extra blades and a useless molded case for the Braun (which will go on the next dump run, saw is staying on the stand)
While there also bought some Amazon/generic unused 1-2-3 blocks, parallels, tamper proof screw bits and a couple small 99% isopropyl alcohol bottles all for another $60 bucks.

Well, this blows!
I mean really, really blows! Not the volume of air that the Stihl cordless leaf blower produces, but it might have more velocity. No problem blowing swarf out from under the base of my DP.

I have four 6' tall Craftsman stacks. I'm 6' tall, but of course that's not tall enough so I have a foot tall Rubbermaid plastic step stool for the upper two drawers. I store stuff in those drawers that I rarely use: vise grips, plumbing tools, chisels, auto specialty tools...

The top compartment on my US General is about at eye level. I don't actually close the top, and keep larger items up there, such as a Huot drill index.

I bought a different one of those cordless blowers during prime day on amazon and it's such a handy little thing.
I already used it to blow all the **** that seems to settle in the open top of my tool cart, chase all the water from the cracks and crevices of my motorcycle after giving it a much needed wash. Next weekend I'm sure it will be just as useful when I give my car a good wash and interior cleaning.

It's already turning out to be right handy. I've dusted about every surface in the shop with it already. It has enough power to blow tools off the bench!
I do have a 50' hose reel with a blowgun usually on the end, but that means unreeling the hose, straightening the hose, then reeling and fair-leading it back in, whereas this requires a push of a button.
It seems to get pretty warm when running full-out, but, considering that the shop is now over 90F, it may just be that everything is pretty warm.
I want to measure the airspeed with my Kestrel, but I'm afraid it might overload the little anemometer.

I have a golf laser rangefinder. Not because I use it when I (rarely) play golf, but I use it all the time when managing sailboat regattas (checking distances of marks that we set).

Non-ratcheting brother to my 838 RA-R M set, to keep elsewhere. They're not the best for torque due to the relatively small, narrow, and rounded handle, but it's enough, and compact. There's much less play/wobble without the ratcheting mechanism, not that it was enough to bother me in use. The pouch case is good quality but very bulky. I like these 89mm bits, which have the same shaft diameter as a standard screwdriver in the same size. I'd have liked a smaller slotted instead of the 6.5. I did consider the interchangeable blade style by various brands but found plenty of disadvantages.
