there is there is a fairly large, recessed area with a divider in the middle on the opposite end as the handle.

is it big enough, should there be multiples or no holes in the top at all? that i don't know but there is definitely a spot for small objects to be contained.

in all transparency, i have the dewalt version. it has a long narrow recess in the same area.if it is as sturdy and well built as the dewalt it is a good solid table.

when my son stole mine i replaced it as soon as it went on sale again. :lol_hitti
Well I’ll be damned SK, ya made me look. And my old blind *** didn’t notice those last night. There’s two shallow ones opposite the handle.

I just got a chance to really check it out. I really like the one button/handle release and leg retraction gimmick. I just truly hope it lasts. The other change I suggest to Klein would be integrate the modbox rack on the sides instead of just the end opposite the handle. From a structural standpoint I can’t see why that can’t be accommodated.

no problem man. i do my best to give accurate info. mistakes happen and i was just pointing out that there was a spot to put small, easily lost items.

although according to several on this board i have no reason or right to comment on it since i don't own one.

FedUp hid this for me this afternoon:

54980749004_881ace0953_o.jpg

54980800630_92601c9292_o.jpg

The mid-torque model. Home Despot had them on sale with the twofer deal on the XC6AH High Output batts.

Should make the brake swap tomorrow much easier.

First major tool purchase I've made for myself in years. I'd forgotten what new tools look like. Shiny!

Amazing thing, considering where I live, is that HD promised next-day delivery for free. I ordered that yesterday. That just don't happen too often. Shipped from Lacy, WA.

Pick up a long icon 3/8 flex head ratchet on Black Friday at HF. So far feels good. This is my first icon ratchet. I will have a full opinion sometime this summer my shed is not heated and it’s ***** working in the cold. The pliers I kinda got an accident. I meant to get the needle nose ones don’t ask how I got them mixed up because I don’t know, But I’m not returning those ones. IMG_4877.jpeg

Facom 1/4" drive sockets 6 point OGV Grip 5.5-13mm exc. 6 & 9 (R.xGRP)
Wanted another 1/4" set, these were actually cheaper than the standard ones. I've not put their capabilities to the test yet, but I just did a terribly rusty 15mm wiper bolt using the standard 3/8" 6pt OGV. The 1/4" OGV Grip range goes up to 14mm, there's no 3/8", and the 1/2" range starts at 8mm.

Think of the carnage one could do with a 1/2 drive 8 mm socket :bounce: Those sockets look just like the old MAC Edge series. Does Craftsman offer 1/4 drive overdrive sockets?

I almost got these during Black Friday, but I picked them on the their Christmas sale. I know not everyone here is a fan of Fireball tool, but I've been using their squares since they were initially released, and they are a huge help to me. Last year I picked up the smaller ones in aluminum so I thought I'd add the cast iron (dragon scale) versions this year.

25-12-12-Fireball-Squares.png

2 each 6" and 4" mega and monster squares, plus a smaller aluminum magic square (I have the larger one in cast iron already), and one of their 12" combination squares.

Merry Christmas to me.

I consider this style locking pliers to be the best ever. This is my first mono position pair. NOS Proto versions came up on eBay recently. A box of them must have been found someplace. Proto branding seems to have been discontinued a few years ago.

Nice find. I went and ordered one of the last J501AMP on eBay. I might grab the other one also if it’s still available in a day or 2.

This is what was included in one of my Craftsman overdrive sets (CMMT99284). I will not bother to check any of my sets in blow molded cases (but will if you desire). These are 1/4" drive and I will not list other drive sizes.

To my knowledge, they do not make an 11/32" size but commonly include 9/32.

You are a bad bad bad enabler (either that or I have no self control). I want to try them. I mean I will try them. :) I have not tried this style previously. I like to try new styles since sometimes I find something that works better for some of the oddball stuff that I do. Thanks!

While I was poking around eBay, I searched for "Malco Eagle Grip".

Top responses are labeled things such as "DURATECH 7-Inch Locking Pliers 1/1 Eagle Grip by Malco LP10WC" and the picture shows "Workpro" for $15.

The other results are showing what appears to be actual Malco Eagle Grips and they are selling at over $200 each. Oh Boy! Tempted to sell mine at those crazy prices! Wowser!

Put my new Milwaukee 2962-20 impact wrench to work today. Man, that thing ROCKS!

No problem bustin' the lug bolts--~100ftlb--on the Vanagon. Same for the big bolts that hold the caliper brackets to the rig--the torque spec on those is 200ftlb and they've been there for thirty-five years.

I used a Milwaukee M18 cordless torque wrench that belonged to a friend years ago. It was a serious disappointment--it couldn't break the Vanagon lug nuts and bolts loose. This thing is worlds different.

The time would come when the last Malco Eagle Grip would be sold... now, this. I think one of the tool review channels on YouTube noticed them in the past year, that didn't help.

With the money you make selling yours you could go buy a new one sold by Snap On?

Are they really selling at that price, or is this just what people ask for on ebay? Can't imagine someone paying those prices. Especially since SnapOn is making them now, so they aren't something rare.

I have no idea if they're actually selling, but all the ones that showed up were over $200. These are all new in packaging... So was either people flat out lying about what they were or charging insane prices.

I heard that snap-on was going to start selling what was essentially the malco eagle grips. When I check some time ago I vaguely remember that they had stock from two different vendors, one very pricey one reasonable price. Right now all they have are the reasonable price models. I've never tried their locking pliers though.

frankly, the irwins are pretty decent if I really needed more. I don't remember how many eagle grips I have, it's not insane. maybe 10. I was looking more out of curiosity, not out of need... If I bought some it would just be because I found a fabulous deal or I was trying something else just to see if I liked him better

Really? I had no idea... I expected them to be labeled made in the USA... I mean I don't own a pair so I obviously haven't checked them but...

Have you tried them? Do you like them? I mean they're like $40 a piece....

I thought they're cheaper. Versions were made in Taiwan. But that was just pure speculation

My driver has a few on his truck. They look exactly like the Malco ones. I’m 99.9999999% sure Snappy owns the Malco tooling and just spun up production in TN. They are crazy expensive though. He hasn’t sold many at all.

SO supposedly bought the Malco tooling. If not, they sure look identical, including the script "genuine" stamp on the lower handle. So yeah, they're selling their "own" that appears to be made with the Malco tooling.

That would make the most sense with how quickly they began producing their own "in house".

Agree on the Malco tooling as I said above.

They cost ~$100 thru SO, and the Eagle Grips typically sold for $40-50 before the "out of business" sales. I rarely defend SO's pricing, but if you're using them often enough, the warranty can make it worth it for when the teeth wear out.
