"HIGHLIGHT YOUR BRICKS" is the most ridiculous brand name I've heard and even more so when you find out it's made in Taiwan and not china.

I was curious as my 1/4 offset ratchet did go missing. At $12 I figured I'd give it a try.
As far as cheap ratchets go it's amazing.
A little too much backdrag though. Otherwise, not bad for the price. Feel miles better than a Husky 1/4 ratchet for example.

Chapman Mini-master bit set. I have had their gunsmithing set for a while and liked it. It was cheaper to buy a new set than to add the missing bits.



From Amazon.jp, a pair of electrician’s pliers that seem to be pretty nice. I’ve been pretty happy with other Tsunoda pliers I’ve bought, so we’ll see if these live up to the hype.

• Snap-on 1650 and 1250 rolling head prybars
• Snap-on REX10A screw extractor set
• Mac S222 bleeder wrench
• Proto J72212 Impact Socket set - 7-17mm 3/8 deep

The sockets and screw extractors appear close to perfect, if not unused. They'll both probably get a quick dunk in Evaporust and a little bit of oil on them but very good shape. The prybars need the paint stripped, which looks like it'll be quick...debating if I want to re-paint them in orange.

What are the two middle orange tools for? I have one; about all I use it for, which is very infrequently, is to beat something out of hole or whatever.

Those are the Snap-on 1650 and 1250 pry bars. They're usually called 'rolling head' or 'lady slipper' pry bars.

The pointed end is generally meant to be useful for lining up pieces with holes in them. The rolling head side is great for separating gears, CV axles, and surely lots of other things. I know some folks use them to pull large seals and to loosen brake parts. They have a ton of leverage for their size.

I thought I was done buying pliers forever then I saw these which I can get rid of 2 pliers in my travel bag and replace them with one.

Okay, so I need to explain as I have in the past few months shown several "lots of 6" tools I have purchased.

These are tools I have bought for the guys on my shift. Nothing high dollar as they all can easily be lost on the fire ground. They were given out today.

10" T&G pliers.
6" dykes
6 in 1 screwdriver
Utility knife
Security bits with bit holder.
Set of hex keys
Electrical tape.

In my 26 plus years, These are tools I have accumulated and carry with me in my gear. I felt my guys can use these tools and have the option to carry them if they so choose to.

The security bits...sometimes we encounter stuff we need access too and they aren't slotted or Phillips.

The hex keys, should fit a couple different pull stations for resetting. The larger one should fit the panic/push bar locks on commercial doors.

Everything except the T&G pliers fit in the zippered pouch. An 8" set would have fit but there's more leverage with the larger pair.

Some pull stations use Phillips, some use hex/Allen and others are keyed.

So Snap-On owns Bahco, a manufacturer that has been making a pair of plier/cutters for a couple decades, (the Bahco 2101 series) that have a “progressive angle” for semi flush cutting at the tips, and hard wire cutting near the pivot, but they decided to make a tool with a similar purpose, but a completely different design in the USA, rather than tweaking the original Bahco design or making that in the USA.

They could've probably done it and did them in the blue point line. Maybe they are baiting icon lol.

And two generic Davco style filter housing wrenches for a couple of big trucks I'm dealing with. These are a little rough around the edges. They'll get the job done, but I should've bought the real deal.

These can still work pretty well if you tap them with a hammer, right about where the handle meets the wrench. It jars the stuck filter housing loose and then you can usually get it off by hand

I have the same pair but never use them. Im gentle with my flush cutters and hard on my diagonal cutters so combining them into one tool doesn’t work for me. Plus you can’t cut harder things with the tip of the pliers which is an exclusive feature of diagonal cutters.

I can see them being useful in certain use cases but they don’t really solve any problems for me. Hope they work out better for you
