My Wife met up with the snappy guy earlier today and picked up the items that didn't get here in time for Xmas. Cool thing was he was running a promotion with the mg325 in November where if you bought the gun, you'd get a heck of a deal on the deep metric impact sockets. She ordered in December and didn't know about the promo. She mentioned it today and he honored the deal! Bonus for me!! The creeper seat is super nice as well! ***edit*** my wife kicks ***!! :rocker:

And I met up with him later in the day and grabbed these electronic mini pliers....super nice! They came with a free winter hat too!

I saw these at Lowes years ago and thought they were cool. Then Lowes stopped carrying them. I noticed not too long ago that Tractor Supply had them. The wife picked them up for me at Christmas.

I have no idea what i'll use them for. Presumably when I'm scratching my head one day thinking to myself, "if I only had a big azz set of ChannelLocks this would be easy." :bounce:

Those are a "normal" size pair of Craftsman pliers for comparison sake.

hahaha, that's huge. Use it for compress brake piston. :p

I have 2 sets of those large channel locks. Yes.. 2! One set is for home and another I carry with me in my car. I need it if GOD FORBID my drive belt snaps on my car. I use it for the belt tensioner. That's pretty much the only thing I can get in there due to tight spaces.

Stupid question.... is that what you're "supposed" to use when you're taking out cam and crank seals?

Dan

I use them for removing/installing seals and o-rings on small/medium hydraulic cylinders. The thin flat tip works better than picks for getting behind o-rings and seals that sit in a groove.

Only time I saw someone use moon shape wrench was for removing turbo from dodge cummins.

I'm looking to use them on intake manifolds. Especially Toyota's and (the plural of lexus:confused:) where I have to remove the manifold for spark plugs and everything else.

I use double universal joint/double swivel spark plug socket on that. Never removed intake manifold.

Newer V6 3.3L ? Then no choice though.

To Penny88, not sure what exactly I'm going to use it for. I got the SAE because I'm in aviation maintenance industry. They gave me 10 percent off for being a new tech, eventually I'll use in the nacelle of the engines
