Got a new set of wrenches today. and I decided to upload some pics that i had been saving when I had to re-arrange my computer and lost my camera cable.

I have been wanting a set of stubby wrenches for a while and was at lowes today and stopped by the tool section (knowing that all kobalt tools are Taiwan/ China) And saw a set of stubby wrenches. Sae set was 22 metric set was half off at 11. Was going to get the Snap-On set but got these instead. (shame on me i know)

You will love that channelock oil filter wrench, it is my go-to for about 95% of all filters. I think those wrenches look good. Stubbies are one place it does not pay to go crazy expensive. If you can put enough torque on a stubby to break it you are a better man than I.

Found some old underlined logo SO XM and XSM wrenches and couple of SO-sockets from the '80s. Anybody have any idea when these wrenches were made, I cannot find a date stamping? The large XMs have round profile handles.

Thanks, I sure hope that the filter wrench comes inhandy. I have a big craftsman one that is similar but its to big and bulky for little car filters that i work on. I saw that, and got a HD gift card for xmas and got both the filter wrench and the little side cutters. The cutters are my go to cutters at work.

Not sure if you guys will appreciate these, but I sure as heck do! These things are freaking glorious! My new "Y" metric hex wrenches - CNC machined two-piece hardened steel center pieces, with replaceable bits. They even came with 6 extra bits!

These things are heavy, and feel so good in the hand. I've got the Torx version on the way too! I stole the vinyl prophylactics from my old ones. The second picture shows the old tools these are replacing:

Finally tracked down a my local snap-on truck. This was my first time in a truck and my intentions were to just get some green comfort grip handles to swap out my red ones and I end up spending almost $300.

4pc mini screwdriver set - green had to order
4pc mini torx driver set - green had to order
8pc instinct screwdriver set - green had to order

Yes.

sold out online though
Got one on order from Northern; even with shipping it was less expensive than I was expecting to pay elsewhere. I wanted to make sure it had a ball retainer. Also ordered a Sunex 4305 3/4" to 1/2" adapter from Amazon so I can use my 1/2" impact sockets with it. Thanks for the tip.
