Actron timing light. $11 from craigslist. I broke the inductive pickup on mine a little while ago so I needed another. Made in China.

Milwaukee portaband. $262 shipped from Acme Tools. "Professionally made in China by Milwaukee Tool PRC".

15" Weiler knotted wire wheel. $70 shipped from eBay. Made in the good ol' USA.

Gedore XL wrench set, 8-19mm. My first German hard line tools!

Cool made in USA manual battery charger with boost feature. Last time my battery went dead my battery booster was also discharged and I was almost late for work. So, time for a plug in battery charger/starter.

What are "hard line" tools? I've always wondered that.

I love the German wrenches. I just got my first Wiha screwdrivers, but wrenches will be an expensive near future. That charger looks brand new/vintage. Is it brand new, with nostalgic style, or is it old in perfect condition? Crazy.

hard line tools is just a phrase coined to describe the meat and potatos of any tool line. Primarily basic hand tools e.g. wrenches and sockets.

Wrenches and Sockets. What about Ratchets and Screwdrivers? I use ratchets and screwdrivers slightly more than wrenches and sockets. Well, I guess sockets about as often as ratchets.

Yup, brand new. I'm actually looking forward to a dead battery to try it out. They make quite a few versions including roll arounds.

I've got Wiha and PB Swiss screwdrivers: fabulous stuff. Next will be German pliers....damn this addiction. :) Cheaper than cocaine and prostitutes though. Lasts longer too.

Finished out the week with a bit of a bang....got a big ol box from Robertmo1988. He landed a great deal on some new snappy stuff so I picked up some fdp and double box wrenches, tk72 ratchet, swivel adapter and micro screwdrivers and I also convinced him to part with one of his many blue screwdriver sets (lol). He threw in the orange bit driver and the ratchet handle as a nice bonus! Thanks Again Robert!!
On with the pics....
