How much? Let me know how you like it, been thinking of picking one up

I haven't even had a chance to use it yet. I'll admit, it was an "impulse buy". Since I liked the old version so well, I'm sure I'll be happy with it. I owed nothing on the SO truck, so I just grabbed it when I saw it and paid list price - $259

Got a bunch of old stuff from dad. He was a mechanic. Here is a heavy duty screw driver. Probably better for prying then screwing. It is at least 50 years old. That is not patina. It is decades of sweat, blood, and crime. It is a solid chunk of steel end-to-end. The handle wood is a little loose. When you hold it in your hand you can't but help think....."this American tool kicks ***!".

What kind of crimes did he commit? :D;)

Those screwdrivers were originally made by Irwin and accompanied a lot of WWII jeep toolboxes.

Love it. I badly want one for for my 'home box'. Are they bearing or friction slides?

Hows the fit/finish? feel sturdy?

The entire unit is welded with no bolted joints at all. Its extremely sturdy and all the draws are on ball slides. 100 pound capacity per draw. The one I have is the gloss black and it shines like a mirror. It sells for $900.00 on the website but I got it for $800.00 off the truck no tax and my guy threw in a rubber top protector for free. He said he hated the new rubber smell and couldn't wait to give it away. For what I needed it for at the shop its perfect. I spend a lot of time doing field service, so all my stuff is on the truck. This was the perfect excuse to put a shop box together for the times I'm inside doing repairs.

Who knows?
Dude, man I've got two of those old solid steel screwdrivers, I was assigned to 6th Marine Regiment at Camp LeJeune in 2006 We were cleaning out the storage room in the Motor pool throwing all the junk away and I pulled them out of a box and kept them. Mine have some type of serial number inscribed on them maybe from the jeep? Pretty cool to think they've been in "service" so to speak since WWII.

Those Blair are made in China so send to me.....please! Very nice, nobody around here even carries Blair. The best I can get here is Morse, Lenox, Rigid, Irwin and worse yet. What did those set you back? What do you use them on?

Klutch dual hammer mini impact. 320ft lbs working torque (at only 90psi) (4.3cfm) (max torque is irrelevant), but it fits anywhere, and it's super quiet, moreso than aircat. I was impressed with my buddy's heavy duty klutch (full size) that outperformed an IR thunder gun, so I planned on getting a full line of klutch air tools. This is my first one, just got here.

Here is a link to a video of the heavy duty model compared to the IR thunder gun. This is the same model my friend owns. It costs $200, while the mini impact I bought is only $60.

I was holding out for a used, older American vise, but this was on sale and I was pretty impressed with it when I looked it over.

How much was this vs. the Precision Inst.? I am looking for one.

I think its about 100 bucks diff. But if you add in shipping for the torque wrench gets a bit closer in price. I actually was a bit sketchy on the quality at first cause the ratchet head had a spot where it was catching. Told my so guy about it before i bought it and he said to use it and if it keeps up he has the kits on the truck. Ive used it 3 times so far and the dial to dial in your torque seems a bit....'coarse' not really smooth at all. Although the catching of the racheting part of it seems to have gone away.
