Pick all these up at the pawn shop for $135. The Williams set is pretty much new for $35 and the Hammer was only $20.

Nice goodies from pawn shop! The pawn shop is my favorite place to shop. If they had groceries I'd have it made.

Pawn shops are good but it seems they never budge on their Snap-On, I can usually negotiate Matco, MAC, and Cornwell down to 35%-45% off their asking price. So I was both pleased and surprised they worked with me on the Snap-On

My pawn shops ****. Hardly have any good tools and when they do, they're priced at a premium. My local flea markets are pretty awful too.

I bought the 24" Stabila level from a friend for $45, he got a duplicate for his birthday because he forgot to update his Amazon wish list! The Snapon FLF80 and T72 were free with the 12pc Torx set for $290 on the truck.

LOVE it! That will be my next big ticket from snap-on.

How do you like the layout?
I love it, I bought it to make room in my KRA4813 and it took a bunch of tools. You can see how I set it up in the service cart thread. Makes me wanna think about trading in my kra4813 and get a KRSC46

Was this a Buy One Get One (or 2) Promo?
Or just something your local Snap On Dealer did?

If it was a Promo can I please get the Part #

Been looking at getting this set!

It was a promo, i don't remember the part number. Here is the package:

Just pulled the trigger on these for $289.99. This will replace my leaning tower of C-man boxes. Looks like a nice chest so far; on par with the 5-Drawer Service Cart etc...

No, that set was a pawn shop find. The wanted $50, I talked them down to $35. The set new is about $120.

OHHH the way you worded it made me think that $35 was the price for it new.

But I'm still shocked that it is the same exact setup and EVERYTHING as the Blue-point set...

My new-to-me Gerber 600

IMG_20120415_051001.jpg

Snagged it on eBay for less than $30 shipped. When I got it I couldn't open it with one hand, everything was gummed up. After I pulled out my gun cleaning kit and spent 30 minutes with it I have a whole new tool.

Hey all. New to the community. Thought I'd post up some of the latest goodies. I spend most of my time wrenching on motorcycles. I have a Triumph and my dad just recently got a Triumph too, so I've had to buy a lot of metric tools. I do all my own work and maintenance, so it's an excuse to invest in some good tools.

Snap-On 5mm T-bar
Snap-On 5mm T-bar w/ ball end

Generic - 3mm hex extra long T-bar (throttle body band clamps in the most awkward place)
Generic - 3mm hex extra long 3/8" socket. Same reason as above

MAC universal 3/8" to 3/8" drive
MAC Gasket scrapers x2. Always good to have a few extra laying around.
MAC 27mm 1/2" 6 point socket ( for rear axle nut)
MAC 3/8" drive T-Handle spinner. I looked at the S/O, and liked the feel of this one much better.

And the latest and greatest- This morning's craigslist find for under $100 for both. The handles are knackered, but I thought it was a good buy:

Snap-On 1/2" drive ratchet
Snap-On 1/4" drive ratchet

Three great weekend finds (just in time, I need to organize my space!):

First up - Sears roller cabinet from a garage sale. Missing the lower door panel, rust spots on the handles and a crappy spraypaint job, but it was $15! Not sure the model no. - but it has a "Sears" badge on it, not CMan, so it's probably 70's or so.

Next, same sale, CMan 2 drawer tool box - $15!

Next - and this was actually at Sears - grey roller chest bottom and middle (cheap slides, not ball bearing) - but it was new with the keys, lock bars, and no dents or scratches. Store clerk said it was discontinued - $29 for middle box and $79 for bottom. Since I am not a pro it is hard for me to turn my back on the light duty stuff when it's priced right . . .

Last - went to Menard's to get drawer liners - man! the good stuff is expensive! and the cheap liner is, well, cheap!:lol_hitti

Cruising by the clearance shelf, they had two cases of these yoga mats for $5 apiece - 62"x24"x1/8" - pulled out the three grey ones - these are going to work great!

Who knows?
My new-to-me Gerber 600

This was the first thing I bought when I got out of bootcamp, Took it to Camp LeJeune then Iraq, That is without a doubt the best tool to have in a place without alot of tool options. Change a headlight, rip open MRE's, cleaning your weapon, your fingernails, probing for mines you name it, the Gerber do'es it ALL.
The only thing different is mine were the blunt nosed, not needle nose.

Was messing around with some steering columns today and needed some tools, and went to Harbor Freight since they were pretty much all that was readily accessible. (Well, went to Home Depot later)

Turned out pretty well, though!

The bolt puller set is a MAJOR win for $10. Make short work of two steering wheels.

The thru-socket set, i haven't used yet, but i got it for the cheapest i've seen it, yet, figured i'd buy it and see if i used it before i decide if i want to get a nice one. Seems solid just from handling it, though.

The allen impact sockets worked great. Hard to go wrong there, though. My only complaint is that paying $27 for a rail of HF sockets is a bit hard to swallow.

Got the Husky precision pliers for $7 on sale. Couldn't pass them up. Will replace my old Pittsburgh orange handle ones that are starting to rust and gum up after 3-4 years.

The adjustable wrench.... IS RATCHETING. My mind was blown, i had to buy it. :p

Those thru sockets are pretty sweet. And I have the same Husky pliers - keep trying to find excuses to ***** about needing nicer ones - but these are pretty great for the $!
