Matco 30" long 1/2" drive breaker w/ comfort grip. Thats an FHX80 [about the same as an FHL80 as well] next to it for length comparison.

And yep, it is

Interestingly its also stamped "USA" into the tool as well unlike their comfort grip ratchets.

Just received these screwdrivers.

My first PB Swiss...these were from Amazon. Amazon seems to be discontinuing all their PB Swiss inventory for some reason. Leaving only two places that I know of to get their drivers in the U.S.

Also got this way-cool St. Paddy's day green Snap-on ratcheting screwdriver from GJ member drhodes. I've never seen another this color.

Details on this ratchet? I like the looks of it.

tengcars015.jpg

I love those ratchets. I have an old Master Mechanic from True Value that they called a "fiber-steel" ratchet. Light and strong. I was wondering who made it, and it looks similar to that red one only all black.

Yep. Amazon bought Small Parts which carried PB Swiss, but then Amazon wanted too much of additional discount from PB and PB said no. So Small Parts no longer carries PB Swiss and has been blowing what stock remains out. ToolLady in Washington will provide first time buyers a 10% discount if you mention my name, Christopher Brown as a referral.

Interesting. Thanks for the info, and the tip! I am planning on buying more PB Swiss screwdrivers - those things are awesome. So an extra 10% would help deaden the pain a little.

How do you like the 30" matco bar. Seen it in the flyer for 20% or something like that.

Wish someone made a 30" ratchet 1/2" drive

I know what you mean! I placed my (very large) Nepros order back in the beginning of March - and it just finally got shipped out 2 days ago for delivery next Tuesday. One piece was on back order, so the whole order was delayed. But now it is on its way - all 88.2 pounds of it!

You just made me feel worse..I just placed my order for the ratchets last week. Sounds like about a month lead time....weak...

what did ya get?

Hopefully it wasn't the ratchet set that was on backorder...

Did Nepros email a trcking number once it shipped?

I've got the older version of that saw, absolutely love it.

The Bosch 1584AVSK?? Mine got flooded out last year during Irene which what that one is replacing..

I am not liking this new one as much as my Bosch 1584AVSK it is quite a bit heavier and bulkier plus it does not like cutting a sharp radius so I would not rate it as good for doing wood work type projects..
I got tired of hunting ebay for an unused 1584AVSK so this was the closest I could get to it with the current offerings..

Still a good jig saw though just a little bit limiting on smaller, shorter cuts where you need to be really accurate like scribing in wood work and ect..

What is the model of your jigsaw? I am looking for a jigsaw but cannot make a decision. Any recommendation? Thanks

What are you going to be doing with it??
That one is a Bosch JS470EB with a 6 variable speed 7 amp motor, 5 position blade orbit, dust blower and foot plate angle adjustment /vacuum attachment on back of foot plate with case

Best thing I could find for wood working that is currently offered by Bosch or other brands right now...
$151 on Amazon with free shipping

I used it doing a composite floor in an old house with radiated heat and ect..
So I had to scribe a lot of the floor pieces to go under the radiators and ect..
It did a great job..
When I scribe stuff in and I require a small tight radius I tend to use coins from my pocket as my template..
This one could handle a radius drawn off a Quarter but a Dime or Penny Not so much..
The now discontinued Bosch 1584AVSK " which I believe this model replaced" that I had could though and cut that small radius like butter

LOLOLOLOLOL.

That was my very same thought Mava.

I've got the same German COO barrel grip circa the early 1990's and love it.

Not comfy but a workhorse that will cut thru anything.

I hope the new stuff is the same.

I'm in love!!! Today I purchased the Lithium powered Snap-on 1/2" electric impact! It's the best of the two 1/2" electrics, it's the newer version with more power, and a lithium battery.

Came with this free snap-on tool bag, which I already have one so I'll be looking to sell this if anyone is interested.

Nice! Did you shower with it? Looks like you are in the bathroom.. Is the charger multivolt? 110-240 or something?

I thought about showering with it haha, I'll just sleep it for now :p Not sure if it's multivolt, haven't checked the manual or whatever. And if you're asking what the torque rating is, it's 450.

Sweet I can't wait to use it! I have the original 1/2" electric impact and I use that all day over my air impacts, I just figured it's time to upgrade to the newest style. And this way I can bring home my other electric impact to use at home.

As for waiting to get the IE electric impact, for 1, all I use is snap-on at work, and 2, since I got it off the truck I didn't have to pay a single cent for it yet, I just payed my normal weekly amount.

Just looked up the IR cordless impact, its 100 ft-lbs less torque, but it is 1/3rd the price. So no, the IR gun is not more powerful, not even as powerful as the original snap on one, but the price is very fair.

Hmm, I didn't find that one. That's amazingly impressive, that's as much as a really good 1/2" Air impact. And it's over $100 less, there is no reason to ask why they don't have them on the SO trucks haha.

Oh well, my old one which is rated at 50ft-lbs less than this one, is still more than enough for what I do at work. If I worked on dump trucks, I would get the IR haha

I got some special love today. I am going to only post the tools here. The story will be told in a thread titled My day today.

Personal drive up service I received today. I have been looking for this for awhile. Went on the truck wearing a hat. Got a new one to boot!

With sears having a big sale on sockets, I went to sears today. Started off with a 7 piece metric flex socket set for 30 dollars and added a 18mm for .97 cent. They the sales guys call couple of sears around and found me the 16mm at another store for .97 cent and the 14mm for 4.88 So a good day for around 40 dollars with tax, I have a 10 piece metric flex head socket set.

It was something I always wanted, but did not want to spend 90 dollars on. Now I have it without having to spend 90 dollars. :)
