I'll show you guys what the wife bought. Was not real happy, only had the Snap-on guy paid off for two weeks. Today he shows up and says heres the tools your wife ordered. :shocking: I said OK, when? He said two weeks ago all where on back order, everythings here but the ratcheting screwdriver in pink. that will show up next week. here she found one of my old RA slips and called him up at home and ordered everything she could get that was pink. Well, I'm kinda mad but kinda not all at the same time. :dunno: Heres her new tools:

I checked it out today, the head will not fit on the ratcheting breaker bar. But it looks like it will fit on the regular breaker.

http://www.harborfreight.com/38-drive-17-breaker-bar-67931.html

sorry about that; looks like they changed suppliers for the ratcheting breaker bar; before the bar had two forks and the ratcheting mechanism went between them(which was a perfect fit for those flexheads)
i tried a normal breaker before, because i was too cheap to buy the ratcheting
and it was not as good, you would have to shim the head alot and there isnt a ball and spring to keep the head from flexing
i wish you luck tho

the new new ratcheting breaker is the same one form titan, the other HF i went to had it. I converted the flex to a long flex. It will see more uses. Love having a fine gear long flex. All the flex at the stores are 36t.

PS

I think HF went to the same supplier as lowes and titan. Some of the Pittsburgh are identical to lowes or titan/powerbuilt offerings and are made in taiwan as well.

Went to sears today to see if I could get a warranty 19mm craftsman pro long wrench which I broke. Made it do something it was not meant to. But the guy I always deal with just warranty it without question. Which was cool. But I was looking at the clearance and open box rack and found this.

1/4 flex set metric 8 piece set, missing the packaging. So I got it for 20 bucks and paid 7 buck to the 7mm. To bad craftsman does to make a 9mm 1/4 flex.

Ummm, you have a typo in there maybe but Craftsman makes 1/4" flex in 5-14, no skips. At least, they used to because I have them. 3/8" go 10-19, no skips.

they do not make a 1/4" 9mm anymore. I check with sears and google for the 9mm. But have 5-14mm minus the 9mm in 1/4" flex now. The set said 8 piece set 1/4" drive 5,6,8,10,11,12,13,14. That part of the package was intact. They skipped 7 and 9. But they carry the 7 separately.

I will need to keep an eye on ebay for that discontinue socket.

I've wanted a nice radiator pick set for a long time.

Also, the line clamp set is made in Australia. Cool!

Its a Snap On SN4M flex head speeder. Found a quick vid from IOM (not allowed to use power tools). Its hard to see it in action, but watch the first pit stop and look at the guy doing the rear tire, he breaks the axle loose and then spins it off like a speeder.

New air and a new Soutbend Lathe

Where did you find the compressor? It looks like you purchased it new, mind me asking how much? I need something like this. My grandfather worked for South Bend Lathe for years and years. I believe he retired from there. He had one in his basement, but I don't remember it too well. Yours looks great.

There is another one but it is 24.99, if anyone wants it, pm me and i'll give you the link (there is only 1 left so first pm gets it), but instead of lurkers here picking this off... would rather see a member get it if they want one.

More Gearwrench stuff. Got the wrenches from purplezr2, who packed them to withstand an atom bomb. Can't thank him enough for the great deal!

I didn't really think the ratcheting driver and wrench driver purchases through. I didn't need both those bit sets. o_O

The pliers are China, the rest is Taiwan. All in all, happy with the purchases. Will likely order a ratcheting T-handle and a stubby ratcheting driver next. The driver in the set is wayyyyyy bigger than i was expecting, but the action is VERY smooth.

Anyone know how to take the lid off the box so i can just put it open in my toolbox?

I paid $1198.00 for the compressor...$3200.00 for the lathe..... both are new......... tho this lathe has the Southbend name it is still made in China/Taiwan...but it is a few steps up in fit and finish then the typical Chinese machines of the era.... I just use for small engine work so its quite ideal for my shop....The next step up is German made and double the money....

Yes, went to pick up some hammers for home saw the displays had changed and they had the premiums hanging there. I'm a sucker for ratchets. Try them out tomorrow at work. From what I've read I won't be disappointed.

I have used them, they are very nice ratchets. I just can't make room for another set. Would need to get the wifey a kitchen aid toaster to get her okay in spending 170 on ratchets.

70 hours a week makes for a fat wallet, wifey just knows I get new tools all the time not how much they cost. Besides, my wife is a stylist, have you seen the cost of good premium scissors? Its insane. As long as the bills get paid who gives at rats...
