Snap-on guy was at the shop today and I spotted a loose yellow driver in the corner. He said it was a trade in. It seemed to be in very good shape, so I asked him how much. "$50." Sold... But, I have no batteries, or a charger... So, I got one of each for another $50, plus a set of bits. th-smile

Trying out the Snap-on pen light. my Streamlights are starting to go up on me. sadx

A bud also stopped by with a gift! He runs a Tru Value, and I told him about the swiftdriver coming out before he knew. lolx He said when they came in, he would grab me one! First thoughts are the ratchet is effortless. The collar works smooth. The only two draw backs are it is bulky, and the whole deal just has a bit of slop to it. Doesn't effect use, but I'm just saying...

Still no computer guys so no pics yet sorry. I took my 26" box back to HF and exchanged it out for the 42" just paid the price difference no hassle at all. Bought 3 sets of each metric and standard HF Hanson knock offs. Today I was at ACE hardware and they had the Craftsman Max.access set on sale 32 bucks and some change out the door. The Max Access is not a tool I need at the moment but I can see the need for it at that price I couldn't pass it up.

Oh my godddd I just found some old tool store.. with a literally CRAZY amount of US made NOS tools... Enderes, US made dremel, Vaco, Xcelite, US made Stanley, Lenox, Nicholson (Swiss and US made files of ALL kinds..) Starrett, Vaughan, Estwing, US made Channellock screwdrivers, Klein, US made Jacobs, VISE GRIPS! And boy I mean NOS Peterson Vise Grips! Of all sorts! I bought 3 pair... they aren't cheap my friends.. but it was well worth it. Only a few bucks above Lowes and that Chicom junk.

I walked away and I only spent 85 bucks.. man... I would have spent 1000 in there if I had it on me. BAD place for our kind.

If anyone wants anything.. let me know please. I'm telling you.. it is NOT cheap. This is all NOS, and priced like it.. I have no stake in the store or anything but really, I wouldn't mind picking things up as a favor.

I wish I could post the pics but my phone doesn't like to give them away easily.. maybe later. All I can say is that I am one happy boy.

Latrobe :) Columbus would be a bit closer... but I guess Cleveland isn't more than 170 away. Same distance I drive to get to my college.

3 hours and change! I know it's tempting.

I think I'm going back to buy a few more pairs... I only get paid once a month but really a lot of it is going to tools eventually so I might as well invest now right?

20120531224016.jpg

The things in the case is a Gatco Knife sharpening set, USA.
A Great Neck holesaw set, USA.
4 craftsman sockets, USA, 1 Spark plug socket, 1 13/16 socket. 2 impact sockets (couldnt read size).
The stainless steel half moon thing (forgot what its called :D)
A Koller creeper, USA.
And some wierd torx bit thing, I have no idea what its for, where its made. Any Ideas?

I got the Kobalt-branded version for Christmas. It's pretty slick. I keep it in the household toolbox.

Yes, I am also lusting after the Gedore ratchet wrenches. Perhaps Ash should be stocking those?

Didn't you already pay for it once? :dunno:

Very little...

Part of a bunch of stuff i got dirt cheap at a flea market. 25 dollars for a bag of mostly craftsman sockets and this one was in it! :rocker:

I cracked it getting a bent hay spear off a tractor loader...mailed it in and got a new one!

I picked up some short 10-19 mm snap on wrenches and SAE snap on dogbones from a tool garage sale. Not what I was looking for but I feel the price was good to justify getting them. My first ever snap on tools.

This actually does count new tool arrival, because, notice the 12v impact is different in the top one, the one above replaced the one below.

Finally bought one of these from the mac guy today for like $20

WORTH EVERY PENNY! Wish I would have bought one years ago! Although I think they're still pretty new. If you ever do oil changes whether it be at work or at home, a must have.

Despite my poor experiences with my SO diagonals heres what has come so far from the rest of that order. Pretty happy with these. Still not sure i'll keep the high leverage cutter given the QC on the PowerEdge stuff (although this one just happens to be fine), may just get the Matco PAOD11O. And yes those are indeed koolaid drinker saftey glasses. Its just a Uvex Astro OTG 3001 with a Snap-On logo which seems to of resulted in a 100% price increase over the basic model. COO USA....all of it. The electronic pliers are actually etched USA still! Leads me to believe that particular factory hasnt gotten the memo.

Went to my Biglots to see if they had the SAE Flex Ratcheting Gearwrenches and the Dewalt Bit Sets

and fortunately they were there, but doing another scan... I came across the two screwdriver set "Fat Max Extreme" striking screwdrivers by Stanley - the best part, apart from the price of $6.00 was the fact they are made in England!

So for $36... pretty stoked - $20 for the Gearwrench set, $10 for the Dewalt and $6 for the Stanley

Big Lots... who knew

Nice!! Did he have the screwdriver set in any other colors?
Good choice on the orange 10 pc set :)

My guy had em in red and orange as well. Going to pull the trigger on a green set in a couple of weeks.

Only thing that I don't like about the new/reissued hard handles is the writing and logos on the handles. Almost seems like it's too dark?
Maybe it's just me....
