I just made it rain at Amazon. Commissioned to build 4 custom basement windows and several interior solid wood doors. Never done either, but I wanted to do it right and have the tools to build the same for my home.

Bosch Router table, will upgrade and build my own in a few years but it fits in my rented shop for now.

One craigslist stop for a craftsman bench grinder turned into all this: an old greenfield tap and die set (10 piece 1/4" to 1"), 2 rigid 24" pipe wrenches, a rigid pipe cutter (1/8" to 2"), and a BK2120 oscilloscope. :)

Nice haul! I'm looking for a grinder and tap and die set like that.

If that is the huge Cman set you just got yourself one hell of a nice set. I got mine a few years back, US made of course, and have yet to run into I size I needed that the set did not have! Use oil when tapping, be careful, and that set will last!

Where did you get it?

It was an eBay find...

It's the Craftsman USA made, 76 piece SAE & Metric Kit. It doesn't appear to have ever been used. All the pieces were all nicely coated with machine oil and there's not a speck of rust to be found. I discovered one tap that's been replaced with a Hanson and the small screw driver and instructions are missing. Otherwise it very complete and will serve my needs well.

That is the next size down, but still a greta set and find! I do not think they even sell the big set, and if they do all the new taps are China for what it is worth.

Wiha!

screwdrivers.JPG

I always liked my little Wiha precision screwdrivers so I thought I'd try some of their grown up versions in MicroFinish and SoftGrip. The center set has anti cam out tips.

M.N.J when are we gonna get a new video of the shop & new mac box with tools. I've been looking for it on your youtube channel hahah!

No box yet, I got a Tech series and sent in back (pics are in HF Investment thread; and this one) too small and I didn't like the drawer layout. When I get my new box, don't worry the 1st thing I am gonna do is post pics of it here.

Got in what will be my last order from Chad's Tool Box yesterday. My items were back-ordered (I assume...), and emails were not acknowledged.

...But the tools are sweet!

051830_wera_bitholder_screwdriver_tmb.jpg

Plus a few of Wera's long length t-handle allen wrenches. I am not a fan of their handles, but the steel these are made from beat out any competitors that I've tried. I can get serious torque in very tight spots when setting up a loom's cam shaft -- without damaging my tools. Highly recommended, though for shorter t-handles I stick with Bondhus or something comparable.

Pretty sweet *** haul from Epstein this month. My hammer and plier drawers were hurting bad to have some Chinese junk replaced.

6 and 8 Channellock slip joints.
Crescent short pointed needles.
Channellock 6'' bent and straight needles
Estwing 16oz claw and ball peen.
Grayvik 7oz and 19oz Framing hammer

7'' Jorgensen E-Z Locks - I've been playing with these all day and think I hate them, kind of disappointed I dropped 25 bucks on them. Were Epstein here in town I would probably take them back and exchange them for something different.

Check out the ******' box art. I said "hit me with something Native American." Nailed it.

They also sent me some free sponsor stuff from Irwin: a tee shirt, a set of drills and bits, a pile of stickers, a sharpie and a beer coozie. Maybe I shouldn't post this on the internet cause everyone will be calling them up trying to get the huge haul of swag I got :shocking:

All told, order ran about $155 shipped. Aside from the EZlocks, I'm pretty stoked with everything, and as far as ordering from Epstein goes, I give them an 11/10.

Picked this up off of Craigslist today.

Set of three ratchets, brand new. S936, F936, and t936. Paid $150.00 for them and the car is still in the unopened box. Figure it will be a cool gift for my sons.

Hey everyone, first post in this thread. Nothing major, but its new!

Was at Praxair yesterday exchanging bottles, did a bit of looking around. Decided to pick up three of these clamps. Would have bought another three but this is all they had in stock.

img1447vv.jpg

This was the main reason I bought them, the swivel plates.

img1448oa.jpg

I also bought the 12 piece Wera Stainless screwdriver set, as well as the Lisle Master tap socket set. I would compare the Lisle set to be on par with the Snap On's that I have used.

Asked my wife to pick up some welding rod while she was out, she threw in a half-price Lincoln auto darkening helmet. Sniff. Happiest day since the last baby was born
