Used Craftsman flex head ratchet, 3/8" extensions, and one 1/4" extension. All bought for less than have the cost of new Chinese pieces.

One battery is dead and the bulb in the light is dead. For $20 though it works much better than the Black and Decker whose chuck I can't keep tight.

This replaces a HF drill that overheats when you look at it.

My Dad came over to help me build shelves and was dumb founded when I said I didn't have a power saw. The next time he came over he had this in hand (he also spoiled me with the Ryobi and Hitachi drills)

New Craftsman bag (on clearance for $16) replaces the big yellow box as my trunk/junkyard kit. I've stuffed it with everything I had in the box and its still only half full. Didn't realize it till I got home, but it has a plastic parts sorted in the large front pocket. It will come in really handy for storing bolts while i dive for parts.

Picked up a Craftsman Magentic tray with my ShopYourWay rewards. Originally $14.99, but 50% during Craftsman Club days. I used the "Hurricane Sandy" $10 free rewards so this cost me nothing.

Also picked up some Snap-on socket rails and a couple of pack of spare clips. These were $2.50 each direct from Snap-on. The similar ones I saw at Sears were $8 each and I'd have to cut off the stupid handles.

Might as well pull the magnets off those tray and gorilla glue them back on. They don't stay on for long unless you glue them good with something better.

i've never had that problem and they are 9 yrs old now. the only problem i have with them is that the magnets pickup all sorts of ****, so be careful about putting it down on a painted surface like your hood or something... whatever is on the magnet can scratch up your paint finish or scratch up your stainless steel work surfaces...

rshadd, a serious thank you for this one. I always assumed these would be stupid expensive from Snap-on but never bothered to look it up or ask. Just ordered a couple of each size to replace some of my bent and nasty ones and reorganize my sockets.

I d REALLY Like to see that set with Locking-Flex. I would buy multiple sets

^^^ Check the COO on the back though :( I bought them too, and will keep, but :(

I know  I figured they were going to be that anyways, but being my first set of them I just said what the heck. So far they seem smooth and at the moment I am only using my tools at home and not everyday.

I agree, and figured as well, but it would be nice if GW made stuff in the country, especially since they're not cheap when not on sale!

Those were the Quick-release, Non-Locking Flex Comfort grips though...

I want to see all that PLUS Locking..

snap-on locking flex are a really tacked on design, matco/armstrong is still going to be what i'd choose for that. I'd reconsider the Snap-Ons if they reposition the switch on all the locking flex ratchets like they did on the FHX80 (they moved it from the top of the shaft toward the bottom). Get it next to the handle so you can just flick it without having to pull the entire ratchet out and it also gets that switch out of the way of hitting an obstruction, now thats a reason i could use to justify more ratchets. For now though, the FHX80 is the only stand out.

Snap on got a fresh BOGO shipment today and i was first to pick from it. I got semi deep 1/4 sockets and the 3/8 flex hard handle free, but then since I haven't been getting the jackets for $200 or more purchases, I talked him into giving me a new 1/4 TLL72 ratchet for free, all of this for $186!!
