love it. have only used it to cut off a few bolts and a bit of angle iron with it so far but from what I can see its got some decent power for such a small tool. Got it fairly cheap so that makes it all the better! Seller said it was leaking air around the coupler. bit of plumbers tape and bye bye air leak!

Cool & Free. A friend retiring from the phone business gave me his old GMP crimper for 4P4C modular handset plugs. Using this is a pleasure, a really well made tool. Nice leather holster and 6P die as well.

That's the odd part. He's not a very good friend at all.

A while back I saw this tool in his work area while he was using a cheap Radio Shack plastic crimper on some headset cords. I asked him why he didn't use the GMP and he told me the RS tool was 'newer & better' and he preferred it because it had a cutter built in. I showed him a few things about the GMP, how to change dies and so forth. At the time he looked at me like I was nuts but something must have registered with him.

I guess it never hurts to let others know you appreciate those 'old & heavy' tools so they know where to dump them.

Picked up these two at the local Sears outlet store.

Craftsman Industrial 1/2" drive fractional impact set and 3/8 hex bit set (metric & fractional), about $50 for both, not a smokin' deal but I don't have any other Craftsman Industrial and wanted to check it them out.

I was a little disappointed to see they gave me the red handled socket rack with the impacts, it was thrown in the box in place of the plain rail shown in the box photo. I've never liked those, if anyone here wants it, they can have it but it's probably not worth postage costs. Anyone local to NW DC or Springfield, VA want it bad enough to pick up?

Just scored this Pretty much brand new SHL80A at the pawn shop this morning for $80 bucks, doesn't look like its ever had a socket on it!

Got these today. 1/4 extensions to replace my matco ones since he never shows up anymore and 1/4 ratchet. It's a bogo special. Can't pass up a 90 dollar ratchet for free

I picked this 3/4 impact up for $55. Doesn't appear to have been used or even a socket put on it. I figured for $55, regularly on sale for $239 it was worth a gamble. I had to pick up some impact sockets for it also. I got all the impacts HF offer in 3/4 for $200.

1/4 drive deep socket set. My first Snap-On and not my last. I've been having quality issues with Craftsman.

I plan to slowly replace my most used tools with Snap-On- eventually going all Snap-On. I will keep my Craftsman as back ups and lenders.

After replacing a fuel tank due to Sandy, I realize that my mechanical prowess justifies Snap-On...well a least that is what I keep telling myself I plan to shrink my tool collection and buy as needed.

I think I might've preferred an FL80 instead; I was trying to get out of my comfort zone to find out if comfort grips were something that I might like.

I want to say 92 or 102. I didn't really need them but I lost one from my Matco set and he never shows up anymore so I snagged these since I got the ratchet. I'll move my matco's to home use

I don't like having the strippers in the handle, it makes shorting with crimper end easier and or not much room under the dash. If I am making a harness then it would be ok. I have a set with blue handles, the brand started with a "B" I think. I have a few Klein and another type purchased from Grainger.

I was able to secure a few Snap on's thanks to a member on here.

These suckers are NICE, I haven't got a chance to do any wrenching yet but their action really is super smooth. I was nervous at first that I wouldn't like the feel of the plastic handle as I usually prefer a thinner all metal design but they just right.

I don't think I will be getting much Snap on stuff (just a home user) but I feel these will be a good buy if they hold up as well as everyone says they do. I really would like the matching 1/2" flex head though.

That is very nice with the free battery! I wish they had that when I bought it with the $50 off coupon.

Finally got the box picked up yesterday.

This thing is a tank. Looking forward to the daunting task of getting it organized how I like it. I'm sure it'll take more than one try. At least the top drawer is easy.

Congrats on the new box! How deep front to back are the drawers? I'm always jealous when I see the drawer pics with big ratchets and prybars running front to back in deep toolboxes. Also, out of curiosity, do you have to slide the drawer handles to the right to get them to open? Is that the Lock And Roll?
