Got some more new tools. Christmas gift cards just keep on giving.

First, a couple of items from my local Sears, which is closing out their inventory before they shut the place down. It's almost stripped clean, but there are still a few useful tools for 30% off:

Craftsman Professional 3 1/2" Bi-Metal Hole Saw:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/impalamino/8388409842/" title="2013-01-16_18-16-47_36 by Impalamino, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8331/8388409842_343b3b62e9.jpg" width="374" height="500" alt="2013-01-16_18-16-47_36"></a>

Craftsman 3/8 reversible air ratchet, brand new but in an unmarked box and designated a "store fixture":

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/impalamino/8388409876/" title="2013-01-16_18-15-35_929 by Impalamino, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8354/8388409876_c69cbc912b.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="2013-01-16_18-15-35_929"></a>

Not a great deal for $25, but less than retail, and it gets decent reviews.

And a deal from the Sears website---Bostitch Remanfactured Compressor w/2 Guns:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/impalamino/8387322697/" title="2013-01-16_18-15-04_993 by Impalamino, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8098/8387322697_f6e2e5e92c.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="2013-01-16_18-15-04_993"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/impalamino/8388409682/" title="2013-01-16_18-16-30_86 by Impalamino, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8507/8388409682_229edfc8d4.jpg" width="374" height="500" alt="2013-01-16_18-16-30_86"></a>

Reviews on this reman set are definitely mixed (especially on Amazon), but I'm willing to give it a chance. Just aired it up and tested the two guns, and everything seems to work fine out of the box. Had a bit of that "burning" smell when the compressor started up, but I think it was just the new power tool smell.

Bonney wrenches for $30.00. I have a problem with buying wrenches.

I know this is an unnecessary tool set but I kinda like the idea of not having hot oil all over my hands. Thought the price was always outrageous when I saw them. Scored this for $30.00.

Stopped by Harry Epstein's today to check out their Western Forge bonanza. I don't know if these Proto screwdrivers were part of that or another deal, but they're awfully nice for the price. I've been needing some really long slotted screwdrivers so I was happy to score these. One of them is a 27" behemoth for the bargain price of $20.00. Really could have used it a couple of weeks ago when I was disassembling some motorcycle forks. At least I have one now.

Buttoned up my Impact sockets added some flex wrenches sensor socket set block tester and got the 43pc RP set just for the larger sizes and 1/4' premium to go along with my 3/8" and 1/2".

Hey everyone, new to the board. This is my new toolbox. Found this site and saw the add for Strictlytoolboxes and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. Can't say enough about those guys and their products.

Stopped by HD on the way home and got some of their Spline wrenches in SAE/Metric and a couple of their boxed socket sets that were all on clearance-It's probably the cheaper stuff they put out for Christams. I'll post pics later. I also just received this today from Amazon:
OEM Coil Spring Compressor. I have one with the long bolt and the 2 ends with 2 hooks on each end(internal) but it's beat. Now I can safely get the springs off of my Mustangs.

They were supposed to remove the 435 ratchet and put a 422 in its place.
Instead they just removed the 435 ratchet. The Stahlwille US distributor leaves something to be desired in terms of inspecting product before they ship it... Happily I buy through a salesman who I know will get it squared away.
