Just picked up a new (to me) tool box for the home workshop:

Nice!! I bought the same set plus the side locker new in 1988 and they have served me well. Just replaced the lower slides a while back. It's a great set of boxes. Congrats.

heavy, is that a kr 557 and 537

I didn't look at the tag yet, the sellers add said KR637 / 657. All I did was check to see each drawer slides good (felt like all roller slides) and the loaded on the truck this evening just before dinner.
I think the only reason I managed to win it on e-bay was the seller refused to hassle with shipping. He said he had a lot of emails from people begging him to ship.

Should be a 657/637. Would you mind telling us what you paid for the set?

Had a bunch of sears points that were getting ready to expire so picked up a 6oz soft hammer for disassembling firearms and interior parts work and a 16mm open-ended wrench. Oddly enough I have every size craftsman wrench from 5mm-21mm but never had a 16. Didn't have to pay a penny for them and still have $.45 left.

Stopped by SEARS this morning and picked up a 14pc. Craftsman raised panel wrench set metric. Only one more metric set made in the USA on the shelf. There were only two USA made SAE sets left.

I've been needing a set of those style pliers and I love Channel Lock. I also needed another pair of Vise-Grip's in the 10WR version.

While it may not be a tool, when i was heading for check-out I ran into these organizers. I think it's a deal, a 3 piece set for $7.00 at Home Depot. Now all my bulbs, fuses, and weatherproof **** connectors are organized.

I got a nice gift from one of my customers a few days ago who is a Mac Tools guy. His note said he was tired of them bouncing around in his truck forever and knew I'd put them to good use. He's right! :D

The mini anvil will definitely come in handy and the trim hammer is a mere 7.1 ounces. I've still got a ways to go in getting the hammer ready for stainless (the last couple of pics are only through 600 grit) but it will see a lot of use around here.

Went crazy with the Snap-On. Bought a 1/4" drive extension set and got the free T72 1/4" ratchet. I finally got my FX80 I ordered two weeks ago. Got a set of 3/8" drive medium depth impact sockets for $99.

I hope that was cheap, case it looks awfully similar to the Harbor Freight one.

..............

How about we spin it the other way around and say the HF one looks awfully like the Bluepoint one?

Irregardless, the are both clones of the classic Mitutoyo digital caliper that has been patent expired for years and myriad of companies have cloned their own models.

It would be reckless to infer the Bluepoint is made to the same quality standard as the HF one. Besides, there is minor nuances between the two like the battery compartment door and a few other things.

I needed a big caliper to setup my new shocks on the Harley. The black mat is also new, It's a cupboard liner that I thought I would try on the work bench.

I bought this Fowler set today that includes 6" dial caliper and 0-1" micrometer, for the $85 I spent I am not too happy with it. The micrometer seems to be very nice but the finish on the caliper is pretty poor. Unfortunately I didn't have to to wait and seek out some better deals.

Also I am almost positive the COO is China but no where on the items, literature, or packaging does it list where it was manufactured.
