Looks like it's caliper buying season!
Just got my Mitutoyo 8" Digimatic.

where are Mitutoyo made? I want a high end caliper but it needs te say USA, Japan or Germany on it.

TLL72 1/4 ratchet
Starrett and Mitutoyo would be your best bet.
I'll never understand digital calipers or micrometers.
TLL72 1/4 ratchet

it's a 1/4 drive, if you are torquing till handle flex, you are doing it wrong.
it shouldn't flex. I might order one.
Is there a need for that long of a 1/4"? Not poking fun, was considering if theres even a need for a regular tl72, but if you have an even longer one there must be?
does this thing feel strong, or does it flex at all?

SO website says its for reach, AND: Strength: Provides up to 90 ft. lbs. Of ultimate torque to help break loose rusted and seized fasteners faster and easier.
90 ft lbs is quite alot for a 1/4" drive, this is WHY im asking about flex. i dont want to drop $ on an item that is supposed to be strong enough for 90ft lbs, but ends up being ****.

my starretts arrived

I see your concern as snap on ratchets are known for being ****
I tighten my lug nuts with it!
No but really it is an awesome ratchet for working in tight engine bays. I doubt I really pushed mine anywhere near 90 ft lbs though. But I never noticed any flexing and never thought or worried about it either.
that's probably 1000 dollars in tools up there...wow
