Picked this up off the Snap On Truck today.

Was after a set of sockets but the set (STARTERSET4) was on offer for only £20 more than the sockets on their own.

Price was reduced by over 50%

Picked up a few things from my favorite second hand store. All US made except for the ratcheting bit driver, no COO on it. Sockets include Williams, SK, Craftsman, Wright, Snap On, and one that appears to be a 1/4" hex drive. Craftsman 1/4" sliding t, Stanley Pro and Cougar extensions, a few wrenches (Craftsman and Kal), plus the ChannelLocks. Not too bad for $10.

I have that same socket set for my road tools. I got it on sale at Xmas for 25 bucks. Just an FYI the Cornwell jr72 fits in the spot of the Kobalt ratchet. I now carry the Cornwell. You will not be let down by that set. I have used those sockets on an impact with no issues. It's a great set for the money.

Recieved my order from Esptein today, but they butchered my order.

I ordered the 11 piece red and blue set and they gave me 10 pieces in red and white.

Very confused considering everyone talks so highly of them....

Some goodies for today 16oz green hammer and mini air saw.

Everytime I get on the truck I see two 32 oz green hammers. I keep trying to just get him to let me slip my red one in place of one of them. I have the 16 oz one.

Saw the air saw was on special.

Very nice. I am still on the fence about getting a SS top for my 1022.

Don't be. They are nice. Then again i didnt have to buy mine new either though i guess.

1 less screwdriver

I ordered the red and blue set for a reason. The red are slotted and the blue are Phillips. #2 in varying sizes.

Considering I'd use the #2 the most often, that would derive the most benefit.

I've never personally dealt with Epstein's, but I wouldn't think they would let you fall through the cracks. Glad to see they handled it in a timely and customer oriented fashion!

Ned wrench rack, Old Wrenches. I had to modify it to work.
Its an Ernst stubby rack. I cut it in half and glued it to a piece of aluminum .090 to make it wide enough for my raised panel wrenches. I bought a rack for this a few weeks ago but the part of the wrench that has the raised panel had to fit in the rack. These racks are not designed for that so I did this with a new one.
* i didnt do the conversions to figure out if there in the right order because it doesnt matter.

I just bought ( and returned) the same husky strap wrench. Broke the first time I used it ( and the rubber smell made me gag). Felt like princess auto meets Canadian tire in my hands. Let us know if the strap wrench works for you. Anyone know if there is a better / more robust strap wrench alternative?

Wow did not know that the FLL80 was already available. Last I heard the dealers just had plastic prototypes about 3 weeks ago. Very cool! Take a picture of it next to a regular 3/8 ratchet. How long it is? 20 inches?

Came in yesterday:

Since I'm new here may as well post pics of all the various tools I've bought over the last couple months (transitioned from electrical design engineering to electrical testing and maintenance, so I've had to buy A LOT of tools). Many of these are thanks to lurking GJ for a while!

I may have a bit of a tool buying addiction. :bounce:
