Just got these, screwdriver for working on computers, and the picks are for chipping slag out of my welds at school.

How could they not make a 21??? My cantilever box (which carries the things I most frequently need) has TWO 21mm wrenches in it!

Son of a b*tch! I hate you right now LOL
I've been keeping my eye out for the same set. If you have a line on another just like it, let me know. See sig LOL

Same here. I've been looking for a long time. These are fairly rare, I've seen multiple sets of pretty much every color, except black before these popped up.
I will continue to keep an eye out for another set, however.

Also, if you happen to see a torx set, let me know.

Wilde flush fastener slip joints

I want a pair. I'm bummed I missed out on the Wilde Wednesday deal, but next time I have money to burn, I'm getting a set of those and Wilde Flush Fastener "channelock" pliers to replace some of my pos MAC pliers.

I'm curious to see how the Wilde slip joints compare to my Snap-on 47cf pliers, which are insanely good.

Yes indeed. You got yourself a deal!

This is Part 1 of my recent ToolTopia haul.
Can't wait to use these, I picked up just the 10mm to test and it sold me on the entire set.
$140 for the metric set or $160 for both, kind of a no brainer. Also some 3M Copper Anti-seize

That's my plan. Where did you get yours?

Bought 2 of the sets from this guy on ebay.

http://stores.ebay.com/zeitlinindustrialsupply

Search
MSS-15RC
MSM-12HRC

Then bought 2 sets on amazon.(sold by industrial supply company)

MSB-12HRC
MSMD-12HRC

Only thing left is deep 1/2in..but not in terrible need..might end up getting a impact set for that later..

Next time I go by my friends house I was going to compare them to his snap on sockets..he has a bagillion of them

I have the exact same set and there is no COO stamped on the wrenches but the packaging said "Taiwan".

Yup. Total ********. Was a letdown this morning when I dug the package out of the trash.... Pay USA prices for Taiwan ****...

And it looks like it was a humid day in the chrome department. Same as 2 sets of Matco half moons I sent back. Rust is popping through the chrome.

I didn't know. I ASSumed since they were Matco's and with the price they were USA made. Not that it will do any good, but I will write Matco a strongly worded letter this weekend. I'll also let my rep know what I think of the wrenches....

Absolutely return them, for that price you can get the Gearwrench Master Metric Gearbox XL set, and at least you know they're Taiwan going into it...

Got in my first Snap On order as a student!:rocker: First Snap On purchases period lol.

-My FX80's button is silver? I've never seen a silver one, aren't they always black?

That's the newest version, they replaced the plastic button with a metal one. The old ones broke often..

My new torque wrenches and 1/2 drive ratchet :D Finally some decent torque wrenches to add to my collection!

I have that SHL80A as well, its the smooothest ratchet I own. Very nice

I was all set to buy their extra long combos (they make some of the best wrenches of any of the trucks in my opinion) but the Apex split stopped me. I was concerned they lost tool production facilities and would start sourcing their hard line from Taiwan. Just couldnt bring myself to pay that cash for a wrench set with an unknown future. Even though i take care of my tools and would most likely never need a replacement, thats just the way i am.

Now as far as the rust. Rust needs oxygen so its impossible for the beam to be rusting under the plating. Try wiping them down with some oil. Cman Pros (USA) had similar issues with sleaks and spots out of the packages as well. Those polished out.

And I sincerely hope nobody pays streamlight/stinger/crkt/kershaw prices for those. I believe those are marketed as cheap and everyone knows it.

The aforementioned wrenches I believe are marketed at a premium price, without the premium product.

If I may rephrase, the product may still be very good, but not $400 good.
People are willing to spend the money when they know they are made in the USA, by Americans (in theory), who have families, and are proud of what they do.

When the scope is put on China, or Taiwan, and these workers make $2/week, and don't care about the product being manufactured, why still, are the wrenches the same high price?

It's a question of morals, pride, and to quote Billy Madison, "Business Ethics"
