Found that for half of retail on craigslist. Got it home and it had a few extras. It's going in my truck for emergencies- replacing the 94pc set I got for my birthday (first of my own, always used dad's mostly snap-on stuff), trying to decide if it's too much for the truck. Wanted to have some combo wrenches in the truck.

Got this on sale. Trying to amass as much craftsman USA as possible while its available.

ygu9asu9.jpg

Ratcheting wrenches from 309 pc. set in box already to replace the crappy Northern Wel Bilts (full SAE and metric stubby and std was $20...)

aputeva2.jpg

Got these to organize small parts, had a target gift card burning a hole in my pocket. Anything that makes stuff easier to find is a tool in my book... Kinda.

I think this post is confirmation that Garage Journal syndrome has me in its firm grip. After picking up a Snap On ratcheting screwdriver, I recently sold off a few spare parts that did nothing but occupy space. This left me with a little extra cash...so I decided that it was time to splurge a bit. My first Snap On ratchets SF80A, FLF80, and TF72 with the hard handles that will be fitted shortly. :willy_nil

hard handles fresh off the truck? I thought you can only get instinct handles now?

and burn about the handles on the ratchets, don't you have to have the comfort grip version?

You can buy hard handled sets off the truck. You can also buy from Snapon.com if you know the part number. His set is available online, type SDDX70AO in the search box to buy it. There are many snapon specials that arent advertised on the website, but if you know the part number you can buy it.

The SO guy had 2 old style hard handled sets on his truck, the orange I purchased and a red set. I asked if they were discontinued, i was told they have been brought back as a "retro item"

It was $139+tax (7.3%). If someone wants the red set I would be more then happy to pick them up and ship them to ya.

On the wrong side of the tracks.
I probably paid too much for them, but at $40, we needed more 1/4" ratchets than the one Snappy we had. :lol_hitti

The one with sockets is a Proto 4749.

The other pic we are waiting for, most appear to be Urreas with a 1 or 2 Protos mixed in. The auction said 2 of the 1/2 inch rats and 2 of the 1/4 inch rats didn't work so when we get them, we'll see what we can do with them.

O no way! Thats really cool. Thank you! I put it in and it came up so it must still work. I even tried green and it came up. I really wish I woulda got this info a couple weeks ago before I made my decent size Snap On order. I got the hard instinct set in green. I really wish they were classic handles. I guess I can always sell them lol

Bringing them back as a retro item? Too cool, I hope to see more of them

Came across a bit I didn't have the other day, which prompted the 100 piece security bit set purchase from HF. The security bit set gave me an excuse to try out a product from Felo (which is awesome by the way). The Klein electrician scissors came from my local ACE. It's pretty cool being able to walk in and buy American made tools from 2004, although I've noticed a few of you have been looting my honey hole

First time posting in this thread... Most tools purchased this past week, a couple from over the past month.
First a set of Durham drawers from Zoro.
Had one drawer ordered three more and the cabinet.
P3020037_zps4481ec88.jpg

My first ever Snap-On purchase GF80 in an industrial finish. Purchased for $40 off Ebay, I believe it was in the hot deals thread After I purchased it, I took it apart and lubed it up. Awesome Ratchet! I'm sure there will be more dual 80's to come for me.
P3020041_zps0b2746d0.jpg

After the ratchet being a success, I thought I'd give their screwdrivers a try. SGDX80BG $85 off of Ebay.
P3020040_zpsf9ad6ed2.jpg

Decided today that I wanted to build a workbench. Living with my sister while I go to school, and haven't needed to purchase a miter saw yet. Picked this 10" craftsman up from the pawn shop. They were asking $100, I got it for $60 Not a great deal, but I'm happy with it.
P3020038_zps4a271d90.jpg

A bunch of miscelaneous. Some from secondhand stores, some from sears.
Sears:
Gasket scraper
Square
6-in-1 Screw Driver
Secondhand:
Nupla Deadblow
Armstrong Safety Wire Pliers
Wire Brushes
Estwing Shingling hammer
Chipping hammer
Wiss Snips

I have a few more pics to post tomorrow.

Yeah the carhartt jackets and pants are nice. When ever I need a new one, I pick one up when ever I or the wifey cross the pond now. I went to the carhartt store in frankfurt, and it is way to expensive. They are super warm great for the german winters as I found out. I have an older pair of carhartt ducks, the overall for when I am working in the garden in the late fall or winter.
