ps: i´ll try Lumocolors next time but still have a bunch of Eddings and Schneider pens (made in Germany of course :))

I've never heard of the Eddings or Schneiders, I know Staeltler because of their drafting products.

The Lumocolors can be smugged together, for artistic purposes and still dry pretty well, I find if you smuge the Sharpies too much sometimes they don't like to dry that well. Hence my preference.

Bahco Dual 80's! I opened them up to see how similar they are. Almost identical, but you can tell they dont come from the same factory. These are made in Spain, the coverplates are just barely different and they do not have a seal around the edge of the coverplate like a Snap-on. The reverse switch and the square drive have seals though. The I would rate the chrome a 6/10. It is cloudy, compared the mirror chrome of a Snap-on ratchet.

Taiwan (if they're the same as Stanley's). Other than a few German brands and Grip-On (Spain) they're largely produced in Asia now so unless they're really poor quality don't feel too bad. Cant be worse than Irwin Chinese Vice Grips.

New FHNF100 off the truck today. Payed $100 after tax for it. Liking it a lot so far, definitely will be my go to 3/8" from now on.

Found one like this for $50 on Kijiji, bottom drawer needs some help but otherwise good shape.

Also found this on Kijiji, paid $20, kind of neat and sort of unusual. May make one for my metric Allens from it.

I have the older version chrome handle 3/8 and the hard handle 1/4" version. IDK why these style SO aren't more popular. I absolutely love mine. Is the selector plastic or metal?

I think people are put off by the looks of the roto-heads. If they're going to spend so much on a SO ratchet it might as well have the traditional SO look. My only concern was the wider head would get in the way but so far it has not. Mine has the plastic selector. Sort of lame but at least it feels like sturdy plastic.

I know they are about 40 bucks at the store I get them in NYC. But 70 euro is allot.

I actually prefer the wrangler riggs line for heavy duty work pants. They are double front carpenter pants as well. But are made of cordura. So they last better then the canvas of the carhartt.

Monte,

Quick question, how much are those carhartt in your area?

i paid (offline) € 69.95
online price is € 64.95, but + shipping

made in....? The only USA made (or actually non asian made ...besides FHB from Germany...) work pants available here are from Carhartt... i just found a store here who sells the Pointer carpenter jeans (on the wish list...) and there are a couple of online stores here who sell the Round House overalls....but overalls are not my style and the FHB pants are too traditional..... so it comes down to Carhartt, Pointer or importing Round House pants or Texas jeans....
