Why didn't you grab the third set with screwdriver bits? I have all three, they sure come in handy, although I have had a couple break (sheer off the bit) on me (free replacement of course).

In other news, not really a tool but...

New summer rubber, Michelin Pilot Super Sport's in 225/40/18 on the stock Mazdaspeed 3 rims.

Next to the old Dunlop Sport SP 2050 rubber.

I have that set and the bits have actually held up pretty well, but they start to pop out of the sockets once you put a lot of torque on them multiple times, if that happens, green loctite worked great!

Pawn shop steal from Monday. 10 dollar bill took all. USA made brake adjusting tool, 2 Klein drivers to help get me closer on my set, a Thorsen USA 1/2 inch drive sliding T, a small hammer, small sledge, and the 1/2 inch Craftsman raised panel I needed to replace my lost one.

Snap On rep convinced me to try these Blue Point stubby wrenches. I figured, if I'll use GearWrench, why not give these? and at just around 240 for both sets together I can't complain.

And finally, a little more green. I honestly fell in love with this ratchet soon after I started using it. I will definitely be purchasing the green, hard-handled 3/8 to compliment it.

Got another Proto wrench today. This time in 10mm for my E30 project. You can take about anything apart with a 10 and 12mm. This one says USA unlike my 7mm. So might ask Proto about it.

Also next to my FD+ for comparison the sake on length.

I hope this is the right place to post this- but I got really lucky with two Craigslist purchases this week!

This post is about a 1950's Walker Turner 12 inch Bandsaw, Model 3110 "Light Heavyweight" (according to the badge). My first "real" bandsaw.
What I hope I can do is learn from you guys here how to tune this thing properly, run it properly, and keep it tuned.

Ok, on to the gloating! The REALLY good news here is that the Bandsaw came with a truly seamless and accurate Reeves Belt Drive, meant to be accurately and repeatably adjusted for speed while running! Dial marked 0-10, ranging (as he printed out) from 89 to 2310 SFM. Apparently the original owner was an engineer of sorts :)

It also has a seriously heavy machined fence system (last pic). The fence is about 5 pounds and runs in a very tight tolerance along the fence guide.

Let me see if I can attach pics properly here...

get some good batteries for that caliper

Ya know that came up on the HF yahoo group and everyone said the same thing about their calipers. Well it comes with a spare. Some say it might not totally shut down only the display shuts off. Maybe what is needed is to remove the battery after each use. Big pain.

If I get stuck in the middle of a job i can always use my manual one to measure the between these fingers. LOL this is just a Brake rotor dedicated tool. I have 3 or 4 back up manual ones.

I've never used them as "Seal Removers" which is their intended use, but they are awesome for automotive interior disassembly. I've helped my Snap On guy sell at least six sets to car audio and interior guys. Two just last week!

Part number?

Picked up the box and all the tools shown for one heck of a deal! Most of the stuff is brand spanking new so I couldn't pass it up! One bad thing is I can't get the locks to work. I can get the third bank to lock, but the other two won't :(

Went to visit my guy on my day off. Funny I was just browsing CL this morning and saw the same thread files for $60 in like new condition. They're $44 on the website. And just so happened he had some. Also got the HS50 I had stashed a few weeks ago :) was waiting to see if he could get an orange but no dice. I complained it wasn't orange and dusty so he knocked 10 off :) 2 pairs of socks too.

Saw something like this in the "Felo vs Wera vs __" review thread someone made, had to try it out. The Felo 500-series feel slighlty magnetized, but that's not what's holding it. Pretty cool to have "real" tools.

DeWalt DW059HB (bare tool). 300 ft-lbs. I got the one with the hog ring anvil after hearing complaints about the detent pin version. It's a little heavy but I got it mostly for swapping winter wheels & rotating tires. $135 shipped.

I've got the pin one. Found as long as you don't use the pin on a side if the socket with the flat instead of the hole it's pretty easy. However wish I had that one. I use it sparingly as well so for the price it's pretty good.
