What kind of van is that? Really nice box though, even though I'm not partial to red

First Snap On purchase ever! $30.00 for the crustiest tool cart I've ever seen at the Raleigh Fair Grounds Flea Market. Other three wheels are sitting in the top tray in a bath of Simple Green. It's rough but solid, tags still on it saying max weight is 350lbs. Couldn't pass it up despite it's sad shape.

Im not a Fan of red Either to be honest, my last box was white an i said my next one would be green or orange but this one was the right money and i could always spray it if i get bored

and It's a vivaro van

Hmm, must be something we dont have over here, similar to a high top. I will honestly hold out for white or yellow... Or a blueprint cabinet to paint those colors lol.

Edit: googled one, those things look like if you put 100 lbs in the back it'd never drive lol

Naaa, they don't compare to what you guys have but it's done what I've asked of it so far, and I've managed to squeeze a few attachments in the back over time without too much hassle, had a bail grab in there just last week haha, doubt ill fit much in now though with the new box :( do you use a van or pickup etc ?

How much you have to part with for that 100 feet of 2/0 if you don't mind me asking?

Is a bail grab similar to a squeeze attachment for bails of cardboard/plastic/etc? I've gotten a 318 Chrystler Insustrial V8 engine from a Silent hoist to fit, sort of haha. I use a Chevy 2500 Cargo van. It's limited on space, buty current box in there makes it worse. I'm pushing my employer for an autocrane style pickup, because it would suit my work habits and service calls better. Here is a link to a thread where I kinda "showed off" my van. link

Yeah, exactly that, your van Is a bigger mess than mine lol, I'll get some pics of mine tomorrow, I wouldn't mind a new van either, not bigger, just bigger engine and payload, I work mostly on hysters and linde's but being an independent company I have worked on others also such as komatsu, Yale, still, bendi, boss, TCM, Toyota a fair bit, a Mitsubishi or two, hiab and atlas cranes and 2 sichelschmits and a fiat lol, currently got a h30d Linde with a 3 cylinder Perkins engine in the workshop, I've just removed the engine to be rebuilt

Your list of trucks sounds like mine! Minus the European only stuff lol. I absolutely love linde's, I always get filthy working on them. I promise it's actually cleaner right now haha! Perkins is a tough engine, so are the deutz diesels. I got several of both running in the field with 20,000 and up hours

My work purchased 2500ft in 50ft sections with ends so I just added the 100ft to the order in cash so it was about $1.73 a foot after taxes delivered. Is normally over 2.50 a foot for quality lead this is nice lead with name brand ends to bad it isn't inscribed with my name. I have needed it for a while but just waiting for my work to make another large order.

farmall, you gotta tell me what the cost of filling up that Mac display would cost you?
:)

I source USA made Garr burrs all the time and they are very good but not cheap. Snap-On burr costs will make a good man's *** pucker. Yowsa $$$$.

i imagine MAC's can't be far behind S-O in cost.

Neat find though.

I almost already have it filled with the burs I have collected over the years. My uncle deals in a lot of government surplus and I always rifle through the listas looking for good stuff. Few more holes to fill. I'll have to take a pic of the die grinder I found last week that has reverse.

You'll have to check with your local or state laws or just call one of your local pawn shops to confirm but buying anything from them outright should not be a problem.

Pawning something is another matter as that is a legal transaction involving financing and a signed legally binding contract of repayment and loan terms and not being 18 would put you below the legal age threshold unless co-signed or signed outright by a parent or along with a legal guardian.

If all you want to do is buy goods and pay cash give one a call in your area to see what the law is. Again, it may and likely does vary from state to state at a minimum.

I'm 19 and never have an issue, hell they discount everything because I buy so much. I haven't tried pawning anything though.

How are your haggling skills? If you can't talk down a price at a pawn shop you'll always be paying way more then you should.

Well two points.

If your parents are telling you you cannot buy something until your 21, well then do that.

If they are thinking it is a state law or something, then ask the pawn shop.. Far as i know, in my state and ones I've lived in, there are no such laws other then the restrictions placed on some items like firearms and such.

Personally, I only find deals on true junk at pawn shops.. .. I buy sockets that they took in as part of a tool box deal, or some other larger buy (these are junk sockets they would never pay for on their own)

I use the sockets as base material for all kinds of tools and bushings

Picked up the box and all the tools shown for one heck of a deal! Most of the stuff is brand spanking new so I couldn't pass it up! One bad thing is I can't get the locks to work. I can get the third bank to lock, but the other two won't :(

Try jiggling the big top draw after you turn the lock. Mine dose the same thing sometimes.

Grandpa stopped by this weekend and said he was bringing me a few things. Was pleasantly surprised.
