Snappy guy finally had a deal going on the MG725 so I grabbed it and also some shallow metric 3/8 impact sockets at 50% off. The little rechargeable light is kinda cool. Its an LED work light and it has another setting for a pen light that's on the bottom of the handle. the insulated mug was a freebie.

My haul from today. 5/16, 7/16 and 1/2 NF & NC; M8x1.25 and M12x1.75. 0-5,000 glycerine filled pressure gauge. And Channellock interchangeable tip snap ring pliers. Made in the USA.
Total cost you ask?

that pen light is worth the $50 bucks...I have mine attached to me with a piece of shoe string. I bought it on the fly since I left my Milwaukee M12 Flashlight with LED Upgrade Bulb and of course battery on a truck I was servicing.

Finally got my package from Matco. But was a little disappointed.
Got some 2/8 magnetic impact sockets for my 3/8 cordless snap on impact gun.
Got some double box XL 0* offset wrenches

And got my self a 31" pry bar
Don't really know when I'll use this beast fur for $30, I figured why not lol
Only reason why I was a little disappointed was that I saw the packaging and it read that they were maid in Taiwan.I guess I'll be giving my money to Snap Off, I mean Snap On lol
Also, what are your guys' opinions on engraving your name on your tools? good? Bad? Makes it look ugly?
Engrave your tools if you are afraid that people will steal them... but it wont do much good.

I engrave all my work tools. But my situation is probably different from yours.
I work with 5 other tinners that all use the same brand of tools and we move around the jobsite all day. Imagine 10 pair of vice grip c clamps laying around at 3:25 when you're trying to clean up to go home and trying to figure out who's who's. Or several pair of Midwest offset snips.
Every guy I work with has his own identification. Some guys take a drill bit and make their own hieroglyphics on their tools. Some weld their initials. Me, I engrave my last name and phone number on my tools.
I may have to spray paint my **** hot pink for ease of identification.

Here's my latest tool arrival. It's not new, but it's new to me.
It's a gesipa battery riveter. I got it free from work because it was broke. I took it apart and found some broken bolts. I replaced them. I think it works but I can't get it to cycle because the batteries are f**ked. I'll test it Monday with a good battery when I go to the shop.

nice set! I know what you mean about these being addictive....these just came in the mail today. The little plier wrench is the ty-wrap version with serrations in the jaws. Didn't have the mini bolt cutters out of the box for 2 minutes and had to try them out. cut a nail in 2 like it was butter!

When I got my first set of Knipex mini bolt cutters years ago i spent a Sunday afternoon watching auto racing on TV and cutting up wire coat hangers like they were butter. Just 'cause I could. Before then it was the back jaw of a slip joint pliers and an ouch yell each cut.
NO comparison.
Total OCD meets awesome tool compulsive nature.

Assuming you meant panduit gun....you're probably right. Havent really tried the knipex out yet. I have used a panduit gun at work and like it a lot. Got this one because it's compact and does the work of 2 tools.

I have both the panduit and the knipex. The panduit is one hand operational the knipex depending on situration is 2 hand operation.

Good point. I'll likely end up owning a panduit gun some point i'm sure but if I'm just going to do a quick job away from my shop, I'd rather have something that can fit in my pocket and as mentioned before, they can still be used as a pair of pliers. I tend to travel light if I'm doing mobile work.

Williams 3/4" metal socket case on clearance from HJ Epstein. Finally I can keep my 3/4" stuff organized!
12pc Mayhew punch & chisel set from Amazon and metric 1/2" drive 12pt Williams USA sockets from ZTSupply
And after using an Amazon gift card, I only paid $30 for this 15pc Williams USA Metric Supercombo Wrench set (7mm-21mm). Haven't used them yet, but from the feel of them, I might end up liking them more than my Snappys...

It's an Ashcroft gauge. My hydraulic store I use stocks literally every possible style.
