Alright guys, you are all horrible horrible people, I never owned a snap on tool till I found this sight or had ever heard of wiha or knipex. Here is today's haul from an auction of a repair shop closing down.
Torx, phillips, and mini wiha screwdriver, vise grips, knipex, and 48oz snap on ball peen.
Oh yeah pearl white snap on indy 500 screwdriver set. Can't decide to keep or flip these as the #1 ph is a little stripped.

Weller soldering gun, because it was half price and like new, plus a guy can't have too many. Snap on 24" extension, because it was cheap. 10 bowling pins, can you say target practice?

Snap on step stool, I don't believe it was ever opened.

#1, 2, 3, 4 ph. Mangled flat blade and flat blade converted to pry bar snap on screwdrivers. TM73? I believe 1/4" ratchet. FLH80 flex head ratchet. 11" snap on extension. 1/4" palm ratchet, overpaid for this but it also had an 1/4" socket on it so that made up for it. I don't know why but I find palm ratchets very cool and had to have one. Torx socket set. 1/4-7/8" socket set. Less than $100 spent for everything in this picture.

Blue Point pop rivet set, looks to have been used maybe 5 times. Snap on high leverage plier's, CeeTee plier's, no name made in US pliers, and Blackhawk hog ring pliers. Snap on wire leads, don't look to have ever been used. Complete set of snap on metric and standard allen wrenches

IR 2131A 1/2" impact.

Sold a snapon sit on creeper and regular creeper, and a second 24" snap on extension to my cousin that went with me and decided later he could use them. also unpictured is 40 rounds of 12ga. 3 1/2" turkey loads and 10 rounds of Barrett 50 BMG ammo for a friend that has a Barrett. 50 BMG ammo went super cheap as I guess no one else has one around. I spent a little over $700 for all of this and my cousin spent a little over $500 but he is pretty well set up tool wise so most of his was specialty stuff and some oil and dexcool plus he got a blue point porta power for $85 that looks unused.

Yesterday, I picked up the Craftsman 309-pc Mechanic's Tool Set (regularly priced at 399.99).
It was on sale for 199.99 for Craftsman Club members.
I used a Sears credit card to purchase and got an extra 10.00 off.
For a total of $189.99 - - - Woohoo! :)

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-309-...p-00941309000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Now I can stop buying missing sockets one at a time(expensive).
In hindsight, I should have bought a set like this years ago.

Here's from today.
Set of Standard SO nut drivers that were too cheap to pass up (will trade for a full set of deep SAE Craftsman 1/2" drive sockets and shallow sockets or???)

Single older Vise Grip 10WR (Made in USA) for $3.00

And, some nice old Klein and Utica "Bell Systems" cutters..($1.00 for all 3)

And found out a use for some "obsolete" CD racks at Goodwill.. Cut them up and they worked great for wrench and pliers organizers..

Would have been nice to have an orange one but maybe the boot will help.

Also he give me a set. :)

Normally would have to buy a screwdriver set. They are china but surprisingly pretty stout and heavy. Would have rather had a metric semi deep set like Canuck. Win some loss some.

Flea Market score in the 20 minutes I had before work yesterday:
2 VLCHEK
4 Gedore (made in India?)
1 SK Wayne
2 SK
1 Challenger by Proto
1 Krauter
1 M. Klien
A Billings
A Fuller
...and a Craftsman Underlined 8pt socket. Not too shabby for $10.

Here is my new to me (for free!!!) Atlas Copco air compressor. Only problem, it's 3 phase. I am going to swap the motor for a single phase.

Those bolt cutters have become my new favorite tool!

I have a feeling they will be mine too!

Knipex bolt cutter and 17" pry bar

Time to take them out of the package and use them. I am going to be getting a 18" or 24" Knipex bolt cutters real soon.

In the packaging it shows it cutting strapping metal, (piano wire in spanish) and I did just that. I'm making some dividers for my endmill drawer. I can probably bust one per minute. I'll see how many I can get done during lunch.
Here's the idea of the dividers. The single blade gets buried in a fatigue mat and the two perpendicular blades are for support.

When I was doing low voltage and av I had a set of those. They were the only tool that would cut the safety wire used in drop ceiling projector installs. I wouldn't say the only tool that could cut it but the only that would do it more than twice.

Bosch IWHT180 and Williams MS-14-16RC 1/2" metric deep impact socket set. I am confident in saying that these Williams sockets are identical to Snap-On. The diameter, length, broaching depth etc all measure within a few thou of each other.

Husky metric ratcheting flex wrenches. 10, 12-15. $40 at HD. Made replacing an alternator way easier. Wanted some nicer ones but I bought them in a pinch. Seemed to work really well so far and I like them.

Been searching for a floor model drill for a while. I found one last night and picked it up today from a guy about two hours away.

It came with a small vise, some surface rust and a broken rack for the side. I'm going to clean it up, touch up some paint and order a new rack.

EDIT: I just priced the rack and it's about 40 bucks shipped from Sears parts. I think I'll pass on that for now.

i like the finish and quality a lot, i've used the 1/4" set quite a bit already and it really works nice, especially for the price.

What i like most about it is the grip surface ribs at the sockets and the thin walls for accessibility and the quick release and the smooth action of the ratchets.:thumbup:
