Finally got my Craftsman Professional / Industrial full polish SAE set in from Sears Outlet, and most of my Metric set from Zoro Tools in as well. I need to fill in a few pieces to sate my OCD, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of these pieces!

I think that's the first real compliment that I've had on a tool I've owned here, thanks man!

Now I need to polish them, these pictures have stains and fingerprints all over them! That, and open up my wallet yet again for more of the set!

SK 23 Piece metric wrench set scored off of ebay... won two different auctions for a total of $304.90 shipped not too bad in my eyes for 2 sets seeing as they sell for about $360 a set elsewhere. Only thing as they are shorter than most wrenches out there (which I was aware of). Really bought them for the larger sizes which are plenty long for my use.

Ran into the Habitat ReStore in Raleigh to get some lumber for work. Luck would have it that they just got in a pile of tools. These were not there yesterday. Everything is older SK except one Snap On socket and the hammer has no markings but appears old. The handle is slick with wear. I left a bunch of SK 1/4 sockets and probably 5 1930's era Craftsman 3/8 sockets just because I had no need for them. They got me for $16.00, which is $6.00 than I wanted to pay but what they heck.

Well I finally took the Knipex plunge. I have been wanting these for a while and the stars finally aligned. I had enough Sears store credit after some coupons & discounts so they actually cost me nothing out of pocket.

Normally $39.99
On Sale $37.99
Price Matched Amazon $30ish
SYWR $5 off $25 = $26ish
SYWR Points = $25ish + tax = tough to beat at that price!

Can you go back and get those craftsman sockets for me? Please!:lol_hitti

My "fleet" increasing again with this 93 GMC Sierra 6.5 TD 4x4 turning up last week.

I don't like not having some tools in my vehices so I bought this 77 piece Jonnesway set to go behind the seat.

I don't have them yet, but I just placed my first order with Snap On with my student discount. I bought;

QD3R250- 1/2" drive torque wrench ~$120
SSDMR4BG- green ratchet hard handle screwdriver ~$30
FBS5- feeler/gap gauge set ~$20
TR117O- valve core removal tool ~$5

The torque wrench was HEAVILY discounted on special this month. All in all, I spent $200, using the credit my parents gave me for my 18th birthday. I will be sure to post pics when I receive the items next week.

Next thing I am saving for (tell me if this sounds like a good idea), is the New touch screen ETHOS, which is only $900, and comes with a $400 voucher. Not bad.

Small Grainger order today. The Torx is Taiwan but for $4ish it did what it needed to do.

Finally found all 3 Craftsman Premium ratchets new for a decent price.

On a side note, I didn't realise that the Sears website (not the outlet store) still had new open stock Professional Full Polish wrenches in stock. I ordered the 1/4" and 1 1/2" wrenches to fully complete my SAE set.

Purchased a few things from the Mac Tools truck.

imageotff.jpg

I desperately needed a set of snap ring pliers. I've also been eyeballing some stubby wrenches for awhile. I have a set of Craftsman metric stubby ratcheting wrenches with locking flex heads, but due to the ratchet heads they have a large profile. So I bought both metric and standard (on order) sets from Mac. He threw in 4 wrench holders as well.

Almost finished.
