Mailman just stopped by... :D

Those Bondhus hex sockets are super nice... love how they are satin finish instead of chrome. The ProHold feature is nice too! Let's see how they hold up... and by far, that Wiha stubby is awesome... strong magnet. I decided to pick up the Felo torx screwdriver set since they were super cheap as well... :)

I picked up this nice (American Made) KEO (#55038) HSS countersink set for $15. Not only was it a killer deal, but I needed a set as I only have a couple of loose sizes. Needless to say, I'm a happy camper.

Dang, $15? They don't even look used :scared: Did you find those at a garage sale or something? If you ordered them online please let me/us know where from.

Mind if I ask what you paid and what your intended use for that middle box is? Reason being, I helped a friend move one this past weekend that he bought off of CL. It seems really well made, and the 18" depth is nice. But unless you are super tall or have a really short bottom box it seems quite tall for a mid box. Actually it came with the same 3 drawer and open compartment bottom that you have.

Bob, please correct me if I am wrong. Crew, I believe that is a model 285. They are 27" wide 18" deep and 16" tall. Really heavy, well made boxes. They come in a 29" wide version as well and can be had in either friction or ball bearing slides.

I am not sure what their intended purpose was. Seem really tall for a mid box to me, but I am rather vertically challenged so :dunno: Then the 3 drawer bottom is a 273B, standard 27" x 18" roller cab.

I don't think they were used at all. I picked them up at a second hand type store that sells tools too.

the above dimensions are correct. The thing is heavy duty. it weighs about 85 pounds. I like the fact that it's deep. I'll post pics when I finally get tools in it. I tried to find the 20" deep one, but it was almost 200 more. I got that one shipped to me for 306.

That seems like a really good price for one of those, especially shipped. I can't imagine shipping one of those things would be cheap. Is yours the ball bearing or friction slide version? I will try to get a pick of the one my buddy bought. I think the welder may have been hung over that day because on the one he bought some of the drawers weren't symmetrical. Do you know are these made completely in the USA?

The only other kennedy box I am familiar with was the little 520, I hated those tiny drawer pulls.

I've been eyeballing a new table saw for a while now and I keep coming back to the Ridgid R4512. I was prepared to spend more for a General International, Jet etc. but the reviews on this saw are quite good. It's a significant upgrade from the bench saw that jumps in the air when you start it! I was hoping for it to go on sale but it never does! It was time to pull the trigger when HD had a rebate program on power tools and I got $125 back.
I'll get some use out of it and won't feel bad about spending $1000+ on another saw in its class.

Bought rkrfc72 rebuild kit and fc72-2 cover plate and converted my extra bahco 1/4 dual 80 ratchet to 3/8 drive. Picture next to a snapon 1/4 tf72 for comparison.

Made a trip down to orlando on saturday morning for this 1975 delta rockwell 15" drill press. The smoothest running drill press ive ever used.

This is replacing the buffalo that I bought and then quickly got buyers remorse

100% USA made. The slides on mine are friction. I believe you can get BB slides, but it 's probably more expensive. yeah, I got a great deal on it.

No idea what kind of vise this is. It's heavy, swivels 360 degrees and 90 degrees vertical. Smooth face tells me it's a machinist vise but I can't find any markings or insignia anywhere on it.

New Gedore 1/2 dr extensions and socket set along with Baldur pullers... all the tools are Corostop coated, didn't know they look like that until they got here an hour ago... but I don't mind. :)

gedore.jpg

How do you rate the Corostop coated tools? Quite alot of my work is underground mining and I've been considering for a while buying my next tools with the corostop coating. Even after 1 year all my tools end up looking like they are 30 yrs old and covered in rust and thats if I clean them down after every shift

So don't clean them. Leave them dirty with oil and smudge. :D

A friend of mine never clean his tools in the boat. First because he bored to do it and second to protect them from rust.

Some recent aquisitions from the hot deals section. Also a pair of Channellock 386's, HF locking extensions and a Proto body hammer I cleaned up and rehandled quite a while ago.

I picked up a set of those HF locking extensions on sale for around $10-$12 a few months ago. I used for the first time yesterday and they're great!

Grabbed some stuff off the Snap On truck today. You guys got me into green! I have been waiting a few weeks for these Swivel Extensions, only got 10mm and 13mm to start, most common ones for me.

Finally step foot into the snappy BUS today, got a new job in a new town and noticed the local snap on man has a bus instead of a truck, this thing was huge. Got a nos set of pozidriv screwdrivers, packing is a little rough but id say theyve been floating around the shelf for a while
Also got a purple hard handled mini phillips and a hard handled spark plug gapper. He has some other hard handled nos stuff that ill probly snag next time he comes around

Last week I found these files in the clearance area at the local Sears. Only a few to be had. The handles seem really cool to me and I had not seen the typical screwdriver handle on a file but they feel good in the hand. And at clearance prices to boot.

At the moment, I just got this delivered, waiting for the others. :D

For a 600 EUR contraption I ain`t that impressed. Some weld splatter, nuts used as threaded holes. If the colour suits and you`re a Facom die-hard you might have an excuse.

I will use it as an engine or gearbox trolley as it is fitted with drain pans underneath.

Can be multipurpose because of the additional rail for locking straps.
