Could you do a quick review of this box it looks like it fills my needs perfectly, but just want to make sure the value and quality are there before I pull the trigger.

Quick review...

-Lots of space
-Awesome design
-Heavy duty
-The powder coating isn't the best quality but it'll do
-Made in Germany

Let me know if you have any questions...

Thanks...not bad either. Used 20% coupon and free shipping from Enco. Ended up being about $80. Tired of always hunting for oddball fractional sizes and the screw machine length is good for the mill and lathe. Next will be letter set.

Well what did you get

Some of this, some of that. (automotive and carpentry) 1000 bucks doesn't go veryfar these days.

As soon as the goods arrive, i'll post pictures:rocker:

I feel better about it now. I always worry about if i'll still have a job the next day after a bigger tool purchase.

From eBay, tap and drill set & channellock 47 mini pliers
From Lowe's USA Nicholson files on clearance

I like the Nicholson files which have the handle like the first one in your pic. I have one of those for metal and the wood rasp version. Good stuff.

:lol_hitti Got to say, first time I have ever seen that use of a wheelchair.

I bet it rolls like a dream with those large rear wheels. Probably good for those off road occasions.

Wheel chairs are just welding cart people sit in, all garage junkies know that.

Got me the new blue point led hood light with the special coating thing inside the light tube, it pretty nice.i was skeptical but it works its bright.it holds its own against my trusty incandescent bulb light.the LEDs are bright but are more focused, where the buib light is a bit brighter but is scattered around the engine bay and kinda causes shadows and dark spots.the led is lithium ion rechargeable with 5 hour run time so we'll see about that but it's supper light and cordless compared to my old light.i like it so far.

Went to Lowes this morning to pick up a batch of Nicholson files from the "Hot Deals" thread. Grabbed one of these while I was there for $9.27. A big "thanks!" to GJ member u118224 for posting this deal here in the "General Tool Discussion" thread!

I looked at one of those at my Lowes today (I've never seen one before, so it caught my eye), and the price was $27. I promptly turned away and looked for the files.

I don't have any dead blow, or non-marring hammers....so I would have bought a couple for under $10!

Damn. I got that set in red when they were $99. Would love orange!

I was kinda shocked when he told me he could get them in orange as the last time I asked, he couldn't find them in the system. Paid a little more than $99 though but my guy doesn't participate in most of those promos anyways. Told me he's not even attending the big conference in Nashville (i think that's where he said it was) this year either so not many price breaks coming my way this year either :(

My top three responses...

Cool, now you can park wherever the "F" you want to on a jobsite.

What a coincidence, I just saw a lady getting pushed out of a rest home on a welding cart.

When you get your plasma cutter you'll need one of these for cable organization.

Thanks. That's exactly what I need for the torch storage. :rocker:

I just got this MAC hand impact. It was the last one he had on sale for $68, not a bad deal!

Then I grabbed the last 3 Knipex pliers that were left at my local Lowes...

jshultz78, good choice. I think I like yours better because there is nothing Chinese on it . Wheelchairs are great huh? It's like a ready-made cart. And those brakes on the wheels are very handy. Now tuck a nice American made plasma next to that Hobart :bounce:

I don't do a lot of garage saleing, because it always seems that it is either **** I don't want, or people are asking too much, but it was nice to stumble across this sale while I was working at someone's house.

2 Pony 503 Pipe Clamps on 3' 3/4 pipes. $3 for both. Like these:

and an older Craftsman Plate Joiner in like new condition in case with dust bag and accessories for $7.

Proto speed handle, blackhawk usa 1/4 socket set, blackhawk 1/4 ratchet and a snap on hard handle 1/4 ratchet all for right around a hundred bucks

The blackhawk ratchet is freaking tiny, needed a tiny one wouldn't recommend it if you were only going to have 1 1/4 ratchet here it is compared to snap on profile wise

I picked this new box up on clearance a couple days ago. My plan for it is to put together a box for small engine stuff and keep it on top of my bench... At least until I get a bottom section.

Nicholson files/handles courtesy of the Hot Deals thread (the half rounds and single round are the only non-USA files but I was in need of them so didn't worry too much. And I like the soft handles so I cleaned them out of what they had left):

And my current file collection with handles installed (I already had a few of these but they were lacking handles previously):

Also picked up an Ideal Stripmaster 45-292 from sears:

Picked up a Bosch RH228VC, which is a little beefier version of the 11255VSR (8 amp & 1-1/8" capacity vs. 7.5 amp & 1" capacity). It also has a vented metal cover on the top, and more vibration control.

I needed something for attaching 40' of ledger board to the house footing, drilling for a spigot, and running electrical out of the house to a pool filter. Good enough excuse for a new purchase!

And to make it better, Lowe's accepted the Harbor Freight coupon, which made it the same price as Amazon.
