I grabbed two sets of those ratchet straps from Costco last week. Chinese "Snap On endorsed", but i didnt buy them because of the name.... For $20, you get some damn good straps.

Snappy guy got me again today...CT8810O (gave me what I paid for the 4410 on trade), SAE nut drivers(on sale) and the 6 & 7mm ratcheting reversible wrenches (free!). Grabbed a couple wrench racks as well that didn't make it into the picture.
Also received a Fluke 113 meter in the mail that member Jeff Moss was kind enough to grab at his local Lowes (IIRC) for me when they were clearing them out. Thanks again Jeff!

Yes, you read right. it's the orange one. The batteries are orange as well. Sadly though, it's not as bright of an orange as past tools. More red than anything. The CT4410 I traded for it looked way more orange. I thought this one was red first when the driver handed it to me until I held it up next to a red impact. But performance wise, this thing is a beast! havent touched my 1/2 impact since I got it!

Bottom two pics, these are the tools that i got from my co workers. The SK ratchet, craftsman and the easco ratchets were seized and had years of dirt in them. Cleaned them up and put some super lube in em, and they work fine now. Also got some wright craftsman, sk , blackhawk.

Not really a tool... a new pair of Beta's protective shoes and two Makita abrasives disks, one for grinding, one for cutting the stainless steel (inox).

Don't tie down anything you like with those straps. Ones I bought I could break by hand.

Yeah I have 4 decent ones already. these are nice for using to tie down my EZ up. I wont be using them for much else. I did notice someone selling these on my local craigslist. They are obviously HF ones that he is selling opened and "new" at more than double the cost.

eBay has a seller with an amazing deal on them right now. $186 shipped.

I like the deal and love the sockets. But the case seems like it wastes a ton of space

It is rather bulky, but the entire set weighs about 35lbs. You can imagine if the case is too thin it would simply fall apart. Not that I care. I'll be putting all the sockets on racks anyways. ;)

US GENERAL 5 drawer rolling cart from Harbor Freight. Very impressed with the sturdiness and ease of assembly.

On sale for $199, had a coupon for $169...aaaaaand it was crunched on a top corner when I got home and unboxed it

Took it back...aaaaaaaand the second one has a very small imperfection, so they gave me $30 back. Perfectly happy with that resolution and the cart.

finally closed on the house! so, a few housewarming presents for myself...

went to HD and picked up this milwaukee hammer drill, plus i found this nice deal from klein and couldn't help myself:

MilwaukeeAndKleinSet.jpg

here's the details on that if you're curious. all that klein for only $40! keep an eye out for that one if you're making the rounds at HD. it caught me by surprise and i just couldn't say no, at that price.

i also got a few goodies from epstein's this week, some bonney offset DBEs in metric and SAE, some S-K pozidriv and robertson tip screwdrivers on clearance, and a 1/4" bonney valve stem socket. i really like the finish on the old bonney products, especially the combination wrenches (not pictured here).

EpsteinsOrder10-16.jpg

i've got one more order in with epstein's, then i think i've just about tapped them out for everything i'm looking for :) i'll say it again, it's a great place to get quality domestically made tools.

Hmm, I have the same ones and have used them to tie down all kinds of stuff. Admittedly lots of stuff I definitely shouldn't have been using them to secure and they've held up fine.

Why in the hell did they not include a 12mm 3/8 drive?! I'm still going to have to pick these up though. oddly enough just yesterday I lost my IR 10mm 1/2 drive shallow impact from a smaller set of these sockets I previously purchased. They've held up great so for 185 shipped for a damn near complete set I'll have to jump on it.

Just bought them for 175.94 shipped

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130659285252

Time to go list the old IR 1/2 shallow impact set and the 3/8 Snap On shallow set in the classifieds
