Yup. I prefer to fondle before I buy, so since they've stopped in the US (in most stores), I figured I should go grab some while they're still available. They're still well stocked (in the electrical department, not with the other tools) in my closest store. And they're still on line at lowes.ca:

I asked them many times if they're disco'ing Knipex, but none of them could confirm. Did you get them at regular pricing ($35 for the Cobras etc...)?

Yup, all regular price. They don't look like they are discontinuing them, there's still plenty of stock, all new looking (not shelf worn) packaging. With what I've read on Garage Journal and the fact that they're not in the tool section, until 2 weeks ago I wasn't aware they were still available. I found them by accident 2 weeks ago when I was looking for a tri-light socket.

If anyone is interested in finishing their Hanson trays....

I ordered these through my local Napa. 1/4dr 1/8" shallow and deep and 15mm shallow and deep 6pt. They were less than $10 for all 4. $2-3 each

A new set of Bondhus metric T-handle hex keys. I was surprised by just how big they are in real life. Almost double the size of your standard long reach L-shaped Hex keys, but they do look a great quality.

I'm in the process of building some concrete counter tops for my outside bar...(If all goes good, I plan on doing them in the kitchen also..)

I saw a video on youtube (see below) which the guy used a Rotoblast polisher/grinder, and decided it would be a good investment...

I got the grinder last week ($209 shipped), and immediately noticed the Harbor Freight smell and the big "Made in Chine" sticker on it...I hope this thing goes the distance...According to what I have seen, it is a decent product...

I don't have a picture because everybody knows what they look like. Yesterday I bought a set of US made Craftsman combination wrenches for my Grandson's first Christmas. I figure I'll start buying his tools now while I can still get US made ones. No Grandson of mine should have to use Chinese or Japanese tools when he grows up.
And, maybe if his Dad asks nice, my Grandson might let his Dad use them.

Finished work early yesterday so I hit my favorite secondhand store on my way home. I picked up these items and a couple of other things not pictured (Craftsman 9 1/2" arc joint pliers & 6" 3/8"drive ext). Pictured are:
Proto #4749 1/4" drive ratchet 5"
Proto #5449 1/2" drive ratchets 10" & 16"
Proto 1/2" drive 5" extension
Craftsman 1/2" drive 10" ext
Craftsman 1/4" drive extensions- 2- 3", 2- 6"
Fuller 7 1/2" lineman's pliers
Everything is US made except the Fullers. They are made in Japan. Except for some minor surface rust on the Fullers and a little crud in the knurling of the ratchets, everything is in excellent condition. I paid $16.00 out the door for all of it.
