^^ i got a pretty decent deal on a load of bonney stuff on ebay, maybe one of y'all even sold it to me, LOL. look familiar? i scored 19 1/2" drive 6 point deep sockets of which 9 are unique, the rest duplicates, for like $25, which is not bad for a 9 piece socket set of high quality with a few extras... i also picked up a set of 7 3/8" drive bit sockets of which four are unique for another $25, man, these things are impressive. they are like forged or machined out of a single piece of metal. way nicer than the common hex bit that's been press fit into a socket like you see for bit sockets today. now i just need 1/2" drive metric deeps (plus maybe a few SAE fill-ins) and my tool box will have all the basics covered...

^^ and one more surprise from the UPS man very late in the day! these are something very special to me as a collector of old puch mopeds; a set of factory clutch lockup tools for 2 speed ZA50 transmissions. these tools make it _way_ easier to do tear down and reassembly on a ZA50 and they're invaluable to me for helping to keep my classic bikes in good repair. they even came in the original boxes!!

^^ a look inside. basically a big two-piece jig to lock up the gear train. i'm very excited to finally have these in my toolbox. they can be hard to find, and i got them for a great price.

How well does it work?
I could use a new heat gun.

I wanted to use it yesterday after buying it but we were going out after the wife got off of work. I didn't feel like getting dirty in the garage before went went and grabbing a shower, I'll be firing it up tomorrow.

BTW, I did start a heat gun thread here in the tool section, you might want to check it out.

Couple of NOS Craftsman scores. I actually bought items included in these sets sometime in the 90's and really like them (the screwdrivers included with the pliers are just ok). Since mine are well worn, I was happy to find NOS replacements. paid about $25 per set shipped.

My first HJE order!!!

ooh i've got some of those items, the wilde 6-in-1 is very nice, i guarantee you will be super impressed with that. and the crescent dikes have also been good performers (the proto ones in the clearance section are nicer, however, imo). where did you get that vintage green-and-white S-K driver (?) was that a one off special? also i don't remember seeing those crescent needle-nose but i've got so many pairs of needlenose maybe i overlooked them at the time. are those ideal splicer's scissors? i have an ideal pair that looks just like that and they are fabulous. don't remember ever seeing those up on there. maybe they have some new stuff from last time i checked; i should probably take a look, LOL. great buys! i had a lot of fun with epstein's, too.

Scaron I bought everything you see from HJE. I saw that sk screwdriver and jumped all over it, they should still have them, wish they had them in phillips. I'll check when I get home later if the scissors are ideal, can't remember off the top of my head. Now I need to go check the proto's, LOL.

Brought this lil' guy home lastnight. Paid $46 (taxes and all), and it came with its own Li-ion battery, charger, and carrying case, and the carrying case has multiple velcro straps to hold the tool in place rather than it just flop around. Part number is RK2512K. Got it at Sears on clearance. I'll post this at the Hot Deals sub-forum as well.

Worst comes to worst, you can get it at ebay for $49 with free shipping:

One of the earlier deals from Sears, it was available but now it looks like you have to wait till Turkey Day. They had 4 in stock, I grabbed the only Made in the USA set. Also picked up a razor blade scrapper the other night.

Looking at the front of the flier online, it's not supposed to start until 8 pm on Thanksgiving. Don't give up hope.

If you're taking them out of the storage box and putting them into your tool box, check out page 32 of the flier. The have the 2 packs of socket rails (1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" drives) for $3.99

Went ahead and got the new PC 20v Max kit. Paid like 187 with the extended 2 year warranty. I will try them out tomorrow at work and let everyone know how they are.

Where did you order those from? I have been wanting to fill in my sets also.

I'm guessing Travisnd got them from Shamrock Supply.

6mm combo wrench #23538 $10.44
1 1/16" combo wrench #23532 $30.40
1 5/16" combo wrench #23535 $41.75
9mm reversible wrench #24631 $16.44

Shamrock also charges an additional $15 small order fee. I was considering ordering these myself, but well over $100 with fee and shipping is hard to swallow for sizes I will probably never use.

I have posted this place that doesn't charge a small order fee. I bought from them and picked it up locally but they will ship it to you and there prices were cheaper than Shamrock if I recall correctly. They were good to do business with.

Thanks Chad. I'm not locating Craftsman Industrial wrenches on their site though. I'll keep trying. I did just discover that Shamrock's small order fee only applies to orders under $100.

Picked up a couple of auction wins from a local industrial surplus auction site.

Drill Doctor that appears to have all the parts for the 3/8" and smaller bits which is what I need the most of. $45.

And just to prove I'm smarter than a box of hammers, here's a $10 box of hammers.
