Picked them up yesterday. The set was on special 2 weeks ago for $49.99 (reduced from $124.99). Went to buy a set then, but the Canadian Tire store couldn't find any of the 4 sets the computer system said they had in stock. Walked out with a rain check instead.

Comparing them to the standard and short length Stanley wrenches that I bought 2 months ago, it does look like they came out of the same factory in China, but the polished chrome and overall finish makes them feel and look much nicer than the black chrome Stanleys.

Just a suggestion, pick up the 1 1/16 and the 20 and 24 mm, and you will quite set for sizes. :thumbup:

I just grabbed these off the Mac truck. Actually very excited about these, USA made and made right here in South Carolina! Normally I am not crazy about COO, but if I afford too and find what i want, I will always buy American. I think the youtube video sold me on them, plus there on sale!

Nice video actually. I thought they looked like snap on knock offs but the video does a great job proving otherwise.

Gave my son my old Blue Point allen wrench "T" handles and purchased some new Snap-On ball style "T" handles. Made a rack to hang them above my workbench on Saturday.

treated myself to some new Tillman mig gloves last night since some of the fingers tips were losing material and some of the leather had shrunk from heat. they didnt have any of the 52's with the cushiony pads in the palm but the 50's do just fine. i'll keep the old ones for grinding duty so i dont burn the new ones up too quickly

This is what i got from the Mac truck in the past few weeks. Still have to set up the tool tray. I will have all the tools to set valve lash, replace spark plugs, or remove most heads on large natural gas engines. I'm waiting on the socket rails I will be riveting to the bottom and magnet rails for the side, they should be here later this week.

We had a couple of broken nozzles at the FD, one with a broken bale and another that was cracked. Since all the small punches at the FD are ****, I decided to buy one. Unfortunately, our Hometown Sears doesn't have singles so I had to buy a set. That's okay, I'll divide them up between the truck tool bag, track box and my regular tool box.

Picked up one of those sets on special a couple of years ago. Still going strong. Saves me getting out the good drill bits for a less than elegant, quick and dirty kludge job.

More info on who makes that crimper please

They are branded OTC. I don't know who actually made them. I bought mine from my Cornwell guy before he went under. They are called OTC crimp-well I believe. OTC-5912 is the part number. And MADE IN USA

Proto had their version of that screwdriver/nutdriver online and in last year's catalog and they're still not out. I'm going to have to break down and call MAC Tools. Nice set :thumbup::beer:

I actually got an email about some new Proto items from Grainger today. I was looking at the nut drivers. Part numbers are 13G278 and 13G279, and they show in stock. I seen that type screwdriver as well. The are all ready for tethers. Screwdriver sets are part# 24AK63 and 24AK56

They also have a whole new line of tethered Proto tools as well. not cheap at all for the tethering though.

Yeah I saw the teathered version. I don't need teathering. MSC has the two stubby screwdrivers listed and a couple of square tipped screwdrivers. Maybe Proto is giving MAC some lead time with their new screwdrivers before releasing their version. I like the looks of the new screwdrivers though and although I don't need any screwdrivers, I want that set.:dunno:
