Cool, thanks.

These are identical to the new Mac screwdrivers...albeit different colors.

I see they've got some pretty comprehensive sets...very tempting...

The new screwdriver line isn't fully out yet but, I'm looking forward to expanding from the basic 8 piece set when the line is fully deployed.:bounce:

Found this slotted/phillips comprehensive set which is listed as "discontinued," but there are many more sets offered. Wonder why it's been discontinued?

Anyway...scroll through their assortment and you'll find torx sets, nut drivers, etc.

Good looking screwdrivers.

Nice streamlight, I have a Stinger LED what is the diference between mine and the XP you just picked up? I can tell the cone is larger is that all?

Pretty much the only difference is the cone and length. There are guys who have Stingers in my class I would like to compare under the hood with. Not sure if the larger dome will be much if any benefit wrenching, but for outdoors it should come in handy.

Nice tool score BTW.

The dude in purple (Fedex) dropped off some PROTO goodness from Trident-Supply to me today in the form of their new 8 piece combination screwdriver set with the new hard quadlobal handles. I think these will quickly become my new favorite scrwedrivers.
I also got a PROTO 1/2 drive impact wrench.
Both of these tools are also available in red from Mac.

So THAT is who makes those impacts. I've got the j150wp equivalent in cornwell and it is a badass gun. Nice to finally find out who the OEM is.

Picked up the craftsman 23" plastic tool box as a temp solution to my current tool storage crisis. Also bought the 3 HF torque wrenches (with coupon) and some screwdrivers from them. I don't plan on using the bit driver, the magnet in it doesn't hold the bits too well, might use the bits with another driver I have if they fit.

Overall very happy with the box so far, the tray has come in handy quite a bit more than I expected being able to bring it right next to where I was working. The screwdrivers other than the bit driver are great! I haven't yet used the torque wrenches, but I've used variations of them and they are really great.

Took me 24 years, but I finally 'completed' my Proto 3/8 SAE set

9 of the 12 point deeps were handed down to me by my dad (former millwright) in the late 80's, and were made by Proto Canada. I picked up a new set of USA 6 point shallows and a couple of new USA deep 12's to fill out the tray ends  Damn OCD.....

It is interesting to see the slight differences between USA/CDN models (different Proto Logo font and pin/lock holes):

The machining differs as well (US left, CDN right):

Now, I best be onto the metrics! These trays, they call to me.....

Cheers and wishing everyone a safe, healthy and prosperous 2014!

Finally got a Gearwrench Gymbal 1/4 drive ratchet. Under dash ac actuators need to start tapping like a woodpecker on crack now so, I can use it.

I also got a Titan model 17004 4 piece seal remover set. Yeah baby, 2 x 5 1/2 long and 2 x 8 1/2 inch long tools, contoured tip and spoon tip. Taiwan made. Lacks the fancy red snappy pouch or storage tray but, I wouldn't use those anyway. For $16.95 shipped, I'm happy.

I just bought this guy. Need to pick it up tomorrow. Has some mild rust and a ton of grease but I figure she'll clean up nice.

Traded my 14.4 3/8 impact for the 8810 so I'm on the same battery as my 7850. This possibly could be the last time I stick with Snap On as far as cordless tools go.

I don't mind the premium price for US made but the price they want for batteries that are not US made are probably going to push me away. $170 for a battery is hard to swallow especially if you need to replace a couple at a time.

I'm a Snap On guy but in my opinion they have been behind the times on power tools. Took them forever to have Lithium batteries and had 14.4 3/8 impact long after 18 volt was the norm. Now everyone is going brushless and they release a 18 volt Lithium 3/8 impact that has brushes.

For the price Snap On should be ahead of the competition but in reality they are behind in some ways.
