Which BMW are you working on? If you havnt already broken the bolt loose, youre not going to with a bunch of 1/4" extensions.

545i. Engine is out now, just planning on using these to get everything snugged down when I put it back in. I can get a 3/8 on them to finish them up, it's just a royal PITA to get to them

I should have pulled the whole engine/transmission together in hindsight

I get an email from Lee Valley Tools every month with some sort of deal on tools. Couldn't pass it up this month. I'd been thinkng about getting some of these cobra style slip joints and they had a great deal on them. No name brand on them but they seem to be vey well made. I've never bought anything from Lee Valley that I wasn't satisfied with.

8" and 10", finely geared, spring loaded push button adjustment....

Here's the link. Don't think you can go wrong for $22.50 for the pair.

It was my lucky day on the SO truck. For the next several weeks they are having a different buy one get one free deal going on. One line for power tools another for hand tools. The one this week for hand tools was if you buy the set of 3/8 drive metric impact swivels you get metric deep 3/8 impact sockets for free. I need both of these as the swivels are just handy to have and for my metric 3/8 I have been getting by with one set of shallow 12 points. Don't know how I got buy this long but now I have some good 6 point deeps and swivels, I just need some 6 point shallows so I can put these darned 12 pointers back in the back of the box. A long with the BOGO they are having a drawing for raffles, you get your name in once every 4 payments you make. In February they are drawing for a bluetooth speaker that looks like their micro boxs, in march it is for some Traxxas quad rotor helicopters, and in April there is a big Snap-on drawing for 7,500 truck credit. The other two are regional and my driver has four of each. The credit is country wide so a little less odds of getting that one.

I just seen a list of them he has displayed in his truck. I can ask next week if there is a flyer. Some other weeks have amazing deals too just not stuff I need/want/or stuff I already have.

Picked this up brand new at the local Makro (SA version of Walmart) for the equivalent of around $55. They normally go for around $170 plus, not sure if it was a pricing error or just a massive discount. I don't do any woodwork, but at the price it was too good to miss.

I just browsed through the rest and didn't see anything else I will jump on although they are great deals. Like the stuff I got today retail on both was $543, I paid $283 and saved $260. Was too good to pass up, especially since I needed them. He is only able to sell 5 of each thing and you can put your name in ahead of time. I may have to look closer next week and see if there is anything else I should jump on. If he doesn't sell the 5 then the leftovers go to whoever ponies up first.

Did some horse trading with The Ratchet Man and scored me some NOS ratchets and a 75th anniversary ratcheting screwdriver. He threw the 2 PC screwdriver in as a bonus! Guess he didn't want to split up the set, which is perfectly fine with me!!! :D thanks!

New Matco borescope Pro1000. This thing is sweet. Was able to talk him into taking my old ACDelco in on trade. The delco served its purpose but was at the end of it life span and this thing has a smaller camera which is what I was looking for. Retails for $849 I didn't pay half that.

Yep, and shipping horses to Canada is expensive, lemme tell ya. :D
Turned out to be a flawless transaction and everybody ended up with what they wanted. Was a pleasure doing business my friend.

The other half of the transaction...

NOS Orange Screwdrivers....and a complimentary 3/8" driver/extension.

I almost picked up another set of the Kreg vise-grips at Menard's today. I decided to try something else though, make my own.

I picked up a cheap set of Tool Shop for $7 and some washers. Since the Kreg brand are made in China (unlike their jig, USA) I figured I could try to make a set for less than 8 bucks. If I screw them up, I won't be out much.

This is the look that I'm going for, the washers will get welded onto the cheap pair and hopefully look like the Kregs.

Lee Valley Plier Deal

I was just about to post mine - they came in today. I was thinking about either a NWS or Knipex pair, but couldn't decide which length would be more useful for my work. Now that I have them in front of me, I can't see putting my weight on the 8" pair. It should be useful for getting into tighter spaces though.

Overall, I'm impressed with how much you get for the price.

I've got that exact drill, had it for 3-4 years now, it's a real arm-ripper-offer, so always use the handle and watch the trigger :willy_nil but for any power jobs it's a life saver.

I have that Irwin set on my wishlist, seems like the best way to get a good set of their left handed bits.
