I refuse to buy anything from my POS snap on dealer until he warranties 2 latches on my tool box, so ordered monday from the SO online store, a FLL80, RAF80 and the 2 drawer latches (old ones pictured, new already installed) that he said 'would take several weeks to come in because your tool box is so new'. Its 5 years old lol. Also a Lang side post battery wrench from ebay.

The SO dealer I got most of my stuff from was fantastic. Unfortunately I moved out of state. He still sends jackets and shirts to me a few times a year. This guy I got now is worthless.

I haven't even put a socket on it yet, mechanism doesn't feel nearly as tight as my other dual 80's, has a bit of slop after it clicks. Thin handle isn't very comfortable, but of course it will be rarely used. My hope is that it will come to the rescue when I'm in a tight spot. I was originally going to buy the TLL72, but got this instead.

Kinda off topic, but I noticed your latches are metal..Which drawer are they off of? All mine are plastic.

Picked up a line stopper kit off the snap on guy today.. I had just seen a similar one on here recently and it was hard to resist when I saw the hard line and banjo bolt plugs. I feel like I'm always slinging ps fluid everywhere out of the banjo fittings when doing racks.. it'll be nice to put an end to that.

Kinda off topic, but I noticed your latches are metal..Which drawer are they off of? All mine are plastic.

Yeah, I noticed the new ones I got are plastic. I thought I ordered the wrong ones at first but they redesigned them. Instead of real springs like the new latches have, my original latches had S shaped plastic springs. The plastic springs are what broke. The new latches are so much smoother that I'll probably convert the whole box over. My Epiq is from around the first year they were made, early 09 I believe.

Have to ask a stupid question here but what is the deal with a side post "battery wrench" ??

I have always used a normal wrench or ratcheting wrench.
Is it just that it's insulated and u can be a little more wreck less with it and get it against the other terminal and have no issues?

One less thing to worry about, especially when you're trying to replace a battery in under a minute. Side post batteries often have the positive terminal very close to a grounded body panel or brackets.

Yes. Terminal protection plus its 6 point. Ever notice how soft side post battery terminals can get? Lol

Have been enjoying using the little wobbly head, gearwrench, 1/4" drive ratchet I got a few weeks ago ... so much ... that I bought it some extra extensions to make it even more useable.

No Pics ... you all know what socket extensions look like ..

One less thing to worry about, especially when you're trying to replace a battery in under a minute. Side post batteries often have the positive terminal very close to a grounded body panel or brackets.

Which is why we disconnect the ground terminal first, then you can touch anything and everything while doing the positive side, without needing insulated tools (unless your trying to hit the other terminal with your tool).

So glad I don't have that problem. Been dealing with same guy for 15 years. Did you ever try finding a regional guy and expressing your gripes? Shouldn't have to I know.

Got the 4.0 battery and charger free with purchase of the M18 Fuel Sawzall and 3/8" impact wrench.

Got the M12 3/8" ratchet free with the M12 Fuel 1/2" hammer drill.

If you work on Honda or Toyota, you'd have that problem because the +12v terminal is alway closes to the engine or firewall.

I installed car alarm for many years and domestic lack that little feature design. Those little things that makes import cars much better than ours.
