Do keep us posted especially me.

It's pretty ghetto, but I actually like it. It's the exact width of my drawers. Probably would have been a whole lot easier with carpentry tools, but whatever. Cutting dowels with a sawzall *****. DeWalt hand drill, belt grinder, wood-glue, spray paint . . . that's about it. The spaces were deliberate, so I wouldn't obsess over empty holes. I marked future acquisitions with a center punch though, just in case - but it's set up for the sockets I own right now. The two rows separating 1/4 from 3/8 is for adapters and universal swivels.

I'll try to snap another pic after the paint dries and I load it up with my chrome.

Just got the CM 3/8" 9pc metric standard sockets for $17. Already had the deepwell set. Needed the standard. Now I have it. :D

The guy still has a Cornwell 1/2" impact for $80 like new. Looks just like the one I got but bigger. Drove me crazy because I didn't have the extra money to get it.

I have a 232c corwell(slightly different rebranded IR) and it's amazing...heavy, but amazing...

anywords, went to sears yesterday and a pair of plierswrenches walked out with me...figured they'd make doing alignments a bit easier than bringing 6 wrenches with me to the rack...

my 1/4 and 3/8 drawer's ghetto socket tray

:beer:Good job.

Thanks

I still need to organize my ratchet-drawer better, but here's how it looks all fitted inside and the sideways test:

Was it worth the effort? Yes. I like it better than the Kobalt plastic trays I returned yesterday. I like having all the 1/4 and 3/8 on one thing, it's not that heavy. The spacing looks too wide towards the right, because they're spaced for the 7/8, 15/16, and 1-inch sockets I don't have yet. (those are spark-plug socket in those spots for now)

And yeah that's the spindle socket set. I always thought it was a 6 point set. Wonder why they sell it as a 12 point like that. Lately when I've been borrowing a big socket for an axle nut It's always a 6 point.

Got this cool quick release vise for the drill press. It works good and was only $8 clearance at Sears.

the wright mini wrenches say USA on each wrench, but do not say Wright. each wrench looks ugly as hell.

these hex keys are the only set i can find that i like, that includes a 7mm.

found this bit ratchet set and had to have it.

You ever run into a use for the .035 or .028? I got them as well but I just can't find something to use them on :lol_hitti

Break that stuff in! And remember - take it easy on the spending. Get the big $ items if you can, especially if you might want 'em later. But pick and choose. I've seen a few too many friends in the auto program at school buy too many tools and then fail out. Not a pretty sight!

Graduating next month, I bought craftsmen to go to school with. Graduating now and already lined up with a good job so I bought this while my discount was still active

Wow that's nice you don't like snap on cordless ?

I'm a huge cordless fan, I do a lot of autobody work so I use a lot of air tools so I bought an air tool set for now and maybe eventually I will buy some cordless stuff

Won this set of Matco metric short wrenches on Ebay last week. I've found the SO SAE short wrenches my Dad left me to be handy so I wanted to get metric shorts too.

Picked up a few Craftsman Saltus socket wrenches. Pretty cool I think.

Also picked up this cool little Craftsman oil can...apparently never used.

I just got that same oil can at a garage sale a couple weeks ago. It works well, but it dripped about 4-6 drips of oil out the end (within a couple minutes) after every use because of the tip end's downward angle. I got tired of dealing with that, so I unscrewed the tip and added a second bend with my brake line bending tool. Now when I am done pumping it doesn't drip at all as long as I give the outside of the tip a quick wipe with a rag before putting it away.

These should come in handy in some tight spaces.

Thank you for finding these, Ive been looking for wrenches like these for a bit now. Now to start saving:(, I hate being an adult and not being able to throw money at whatever i want.
