Bought this yesterday from our sort of Dutch Craigslist. It's a 100 piece set from 1998 and I also got three Craftsman adjustable wrenches (6, 8 and 10 inch) with it and it still has the $30 price tag on it . About 75% is unused and the other 25% is used one time.
The guy was asking 60 euros ($83) and I brought it home for 40 euros ($55) :). It's 100% complete and all is made in USA of course :D! I still needed a sae wrench set, some 1/4 drive sae sockets and some 3/8 drive metric sockets, so I'm really happy I found an almost unused Craftsman set as you can't buy Craftsman in Europe. The only Craftsman tools I can buy are from Amazon...
Let me know how I did

I like it, and for your buying restrictions I think you did well. USA made stuff will last, so it was definitely worth it.

I also like how the instructions are still in English. Usually "Importante" is what I've become accustomed to seeing.

I also thought the instructions are very cool. I don't know if it's common to get it with a tool set, but I've never seen it before! Inside the instructions there is a poll/question list thing (I don't know how you call it in english).
Here are some pictures

New (to me) old SO #4 Phillips. Gonna change out the handle, as I don't like the old hard handles (just feel wrong)

Picked this up on CL last week then spent the weekend cleaning and painting it as well and getting all the parts moving free agian. It also had the standard and dado insert as well as the manual.

After little elbow grease and paint. Next is a good fence system and machined pulleys with link belt.

They threw in an extra 5/16 on the sae set i have. I don't know who does their packing but they are much more worried about speed than precision packing lol. Fine with me tho I think they are the best deal in hand tools. The price is no where near the quality in a good way. I'd hold on to the mismade socket and lend it out

I would have like to, but Blackhawk/Stanley/PROTO customer-service left me feeling ill. They've ignored my email for days, so I called them today. The ******* the phone was very rude and told me to mail them to her and they MIGHT do something about it. I don't see why it should cost me more shipping fees for their obvious mistakes. Then she said since I ordered them from Amazon they won't cover a thing - No Warranty. I immediately returned everything from them to Amazon, and removed all the Stanley/Proto/Blackhawk stuff from my cart.

Is it not their product? I don't understand why it makes a difference where I do my shopping, but these companies with their STRICT "Authorized Dealer" loopholes to deny warranties urge me take my hard earned money elsewhere. It's too bad, I was planning on buying a LOT of their stuff.

I'd rather shop where I want to, not where they tell me to. It's okay, I'll spend my money on other brands, their loss.

Luckily, since I bought from Amazon, and their product was clearly defective - Amazon ate the shipping charges both ways. If I had purchased from an AD, I would have had to pay to ship them their backwards socket, then they'd decide if it justified a warranty. They don't stand behind their product, and it was unused.

This sloppy workmanship should not cost the customer money out of pocket to rectify - which would have been the case if I bought from an authorized dealer. Preposterous, and extremely careless. That was only half of it, they left out the 11mm socket from the set as well. I'll stay away from any brand so incompetent, thanks.

Some VIM stuff from their clearance page and a Bluepoint double flare kit from member Bigblue&Goldie(really fast shipping and just as described).

I really like the VIM stubby hex sockets, can't wait to use them. The mag rails are nice as well, and the extensions with the handles are pretty sweet too. Everything from VIM looks top notch, I'll definitely buy more of their tools.

If you don't have a prime account then sure, but if you have a prime account with one click it's really not enjoyable shopping anywhere else unless the item you wabt doesn't qualify for prime or is way over priced. One click buying is so easy but leads to bad decisions. Free two day shipping is nice and overnight between $4-10 is nice too. I've used it for a lot of tools I found I needed for a certain job, one click overnight and I can finish the job the next day. It's not even worth the time to drive to town to see if they might have something that works.

New additions... M12 3/8 90 degree drill, M12 3/8 ratchet, 2 M12 XC batteries, and a couple of scraper blades for my M18 hackzall.. should come in handy tearing all the old crappy vinyl flooring out of the house, which is this weekend's project.

Those are both very handy. I bought the 1/4" too. I use the m12 impact and ratchet the most followed by the m18 3/8.

I need to get some of those scraper blades though. I think they would come in handy often.

Gotta love the coupon codes. $13 out of pocket for both and then a $5 dollar credit for waiting to long.

Not exactly a tool nor is it new, but a nice upgrade from my smaller manual mill.
