Added to my metric set a collection of ratcheting wrenches. Armstrong reversible and regular ratcheting sets, minus the elusive 15mm reversible. This should make my metric drawer complete-ish. Well, you never know...

I like the Armstrongs since they are the only ratcheting wrenches made in the USA (according to the Epstein website: "Armstrong is the only manufacturer of USA combination ratcheting wrenches"). And I like their feel in the hand. However I was a little embarrassed for them when I saw these two so off-center:

I hope that end will hold up to applied force. I guess I can always get them warrantied if they break.

Nice. I recently purchased the Armstrong Reversible Ratcheting wrench set, metric and SAE. I really like them. Why is the 15mm elusive? My set had it. I actually found the 8,9mm and 5/16" off ebay/amazon to fill in the set.

Another "new but not new" tool arrived today - A161B trim tool, to replace the one I lost (damn black handles!)

Looks great alongside the A177A I already had

What do u use the 177a for? I have always wondered that. That's the one with the dish indentation on the backside right?

I'm a glass tech, so it get used for removing door pads, trims, clips, all sorts. Strong as hell (surprisingly strong in fact) and even gets used to pry stuff (although not as heavy duty prying that you'd used a pry bar for)

It's a thinner profile than the 161, and gets in places that the 161 can't. But the 161 has a tighter "V" meaning it can prise out smaller clips than the 177 can.

I posted about that tool in a different thread, but that a177 (or a181) is one of my favorite tools, especially for prying on plastic push-in retainers, electrical connectors, and other odd things like turning obstructed petcocks. It's a brute for such a little tool.

Matt c have you got one of the snap on hand pump air bags? They're great for door cards. Slide em in and pump it up to pop the clips. Great for inclose to door pillars

Armstrong 69-605 3lb hammer.

They had a contest on their Facebook page. Me and a few others won these.

Picked up this USA made Craftsman -V- ratchet adapter - very handy, makes a breaker-bar into a ratchet.

I purchased this Stanley Rotator 3/8 drive Ratchet today while I was at Walmart buying some oil on sale and just happened to walk by the tool isle so I had to get it. Seeing that it's similar to My Facom 3/8 Rotator Ratchet and made in the same COO (Taiwan) I can't wait to try it out and do a comparison between the two. I will also have to post a side by side of the Stanley and the Facom later.
