How is this one compared to say the snap on one? I only do side work but I have had to turn down a couple ball joint side jobs because I don't have the tools to do them. What is the price of that kit? I know the snap on one is around 700 bux

OTC 7249, looks to run a little over $100 online.

It's the same kit Matco sells (BJP7025C) for twice as much.

EDIT: Also looks like some of the OTC sets are USA and some are China. Same part number.

Yep, paid $103 shipped. Never heard anything negative about the OTC kit. Also ordered the air hammer piece for some extra leverage. Now looking for an adapter kit. Most likely going to order the Astro kit - http://www.tooltopia.com/astro-pneumatic-7868.aspx

Stopped by the Snap On truck yesterday. Picked up a metric wrench set +2, 1/4" socket set, 1/4" & 3/8" sockets, also a Bondhus hex set from amazon.

Got a Father's Day present of the HF 44" toolbox too. It's been a good season.

Used the otc kit professionally and on a regular basis for a few years and it has worked beautifully. Just keep it lubed up.

Why is that one filter wench so expensive? Is it that much better than the Lisle ones?

Why is Snap on so expensive? Its the same with stahlwille, but they cost much less than SO anyway! I dont know what lisle is, but every tool that is made by stahlwille last multiple lifetimes and doesnt get worn at all, abuse them and only wipe of the dirt and it look like new:)

About 4 years ago I had the Chinese OTC one and it worked great for as many times as I used it. Never bent the C frame and the 2nd time I used the HF one I bent it.

Just picked these up from Menards for $7.48 out the door. It was the only one I saw on the shelf, I had to ask them to scan for a price. Looks to be left over from a promotion. Made in China but appears to be quality, the Lenox 9-in-1 was on the shelf for $10.50 and that was only for one. I am putting together a tool bag for our Honda Odyssey so this will go in there. I have the Klein version in my truck tool bag, so I will probably throw the extra in my electricians tool kit.

I certainly don't intend to insult, but that gun looks identical to my NAPA Torque Dominator. Same goofy reverser, identical composite blue body. Does anyone know if they are more similar than coincidence?

They are the same, both made by PTP in Taiwan. All that blue Power stuff is imported similar to Blue-Point or Silver Eagle.

Then it's a great gun, this thing can shake **** loose, and constantly twists stuff off. Definitely need to use the air selector.
