You guys have me scared that i bought a bad impact:/

Ha, the exact opposite. I have a feeling that I paid less for it, but that gun kicks ***. I would gladly pay twice what I did for it; but I'm a cheap ***, so I didn't.

I was just surprised they were the same.

I presume thats made by Precision Instruments and re-branded as Snap-on?
My tool guy has this one which doesn't seem too expensive especially in CAD

PTP make good impacts. They also make Matco's new high end IR look-alike and they manufacture MACs AWP titanium impacts and rebrands exclusively for Stanley. Rarely see anyone say a bad word about them or their products in general. They make a lot of tools for the trucks and I believe are also connected with Sunex.

Yep sure is. He's a good guy. Our only truck guy actually. Before I started there used to be a snap on guy but apparently management got pissed off with people spending so much time in the truck.

I bought one of these after seeing it here.

I can't say I'm too impressed with it. It has a "breakover" handle so it converts to a t-handle. But there's no detent or friction holding it in place when its in the straight position. If I squeeze it in my hand when its in the wrong orientation the handle will start to fold. Rotate the handle 180' and it doesn't do that. Not a big deal but it is going to be a little fiddly.

I need a blade handle and for $10 I won't complain much. But I was hoping for more from a German made tool. Those guys usually get it right.

BTW, it comes with a hex shank (Taiwan) and a small handful of bits (China).

And while I was in cali for the last 2 weeks I stopped by a couple sears to find some USA goodies I wanted

The o2 sensor adapter is from autozone and the super lube from none other but HF. My gf had a good laugh when we were at hf and I asked the cashier where I could find super lube lol [emoji6]

For all you guys and gals recommending it for ratchet internals and what not did I atleast get the right one (or was I supposed to get the spray?) I always used light oil before but figured id give it a go.

Found a Craftsman (Covel) power hacksaw recently. It is complete and only needed minor fine tuning to make it saw like a champ. The previous owner made that drip pan, which is a rather neat feature on its own.

Only two complaints as it is... no wheels and it sits too low. Both will be remedied shortly.

I had one of these before, but foolishly sold it, due to cramped shop space at my previous location. Not going to happen again!

You can also find the manual over at OWWM, if anyone needs it.

Over the last few days I picked up a few things.

IMG_2715[1].jpg

Got these trim tools at the good ol HF

IMG_2716[1].jpg

Don't know why but it is always hard to find replacement bits for an impact driver. While I was nosing around on Amazon found these Tekton

IMG_2717[1].jpg
Did I need this no not really. A friend bought it and had some things come up and was going to return it to get the money back I said I would give him the money and put it at the house.

I was working on Dad's AC on his car and was using a needle thermometer in the vent and it was not reading right so I decided what the heck I might as well but an IR thermometer for the service truck. Looked at HF and they are around 30 when on sale 35 right now. everywhere else wants close to 70 for them. Just so happens there is this place at a local Outlet mall here and we saw this there last weekend. $49.99 and it rechargeable. I figured to go this route instead. What do y'all think?

IMG_2718[1].jpg

Lastly I kinda always wanted one of these but they are to me pricey even at HF so while I was at this outlet store they had this on special 74.00 for reconditioned model with battery ad charger. Regularly in the store they are 104.00 Not sure if I got a decent deal on an inspection scope or not Opinions?

3/8th drive

I used to get them at Sears, they actually stocked impact driver bits. All of the true sears store anywhere around here closed and the franchise locations do not stock them and would have to order. I got all of these for the price of 2 bits at sears.

I didn't know they made them just for torque. Wish they would fit both 1/4" and 3/8" Bits. Edit: Had to go look and they do have both sizes on one rail. I gotta get one!
